TLDR: While I initially had an installation hiccup, I am left extremely pleased with both my purchase, and with the excellent customer service provided by the maker of RoomyRoc, Shenzhen Kedibo Technology Co.,Ltd. I would buy this cart again - and actually might, the next time it goes on sale! WHY ROOMYROC: I bought this to use with a large L-Desk, whose dual, built-in drawers came with drop-down fronts for use as optional keyboard trays. Once I switched to a "kitty corner" layout for my triple monitor setup, the drawers that compelled me to buy the desk were no longer keyboard tray options, even as they prevented installation of a third party keyboard tray of any type. The RoomyRoc provides me with an ergonomic keyboard/mouse surface AND a comfortable footrest. THOUGHTS ON PRODUCT: The footrest is a *wonderful* ergonomic aid, as using it forces me to properly lean back in my office chair, instead of hunching forward over my keyboard. The work surface is nicely made, no splinters or rough spots, and it has a lip on the front and back edges to keep items from rolling off. The table surface offers room for even a large, 17" gaming laptop, but I bought one to hold a (tenkeyless or 75%) mechanical keyboard with wrist rest, a mouse, and a 23 key macro pad. The addition of the 5" wide macro pad makes for a tight fit, in part due to the odd shape of the table top (the wider side curves AWAY from the user), but the height adjust button doesn't help, either, as it interferes with all but the smallest mouse pad. As a suggestion to RoomyRoc, a curved, kidney shape would fit closer to the user, and allow additional room room for accessories (like mice) in an ambidextrous shape. A different location for the height adjust button (perhaps on the left - sorry, lefties!) would be helpful, too. I'm waiting on a slightly smaller (60%), split keyboard, but if that doesn't "create" a little more room, I'll eventually DIY a slightly wider, gently curved table top, with the height adjustment button located in a more "out of the way" area. ASSEMBLY: Hunt down a video or two, and watch them FIRST, so you know what to expect. Overall, assembly was extremely straightforward - except I ran into trouble with the "adjustable fixing ring." Despite the written/visual instructions stating to install it, it came pre-installed - and stuck. I kept wondering what I was doing wrong, watched some videos, and realized the adjustable fixing ring I received was defective or damaged during shipping. The lever/handle WOULD NOT TURN. Luckily, I have a decent Allen wrench set, so I was able to take the fixing ring lever apart, which allowed manual adjustments and the ability to complete assembly. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Since I wanted a properly functioning part for the long haul, I contacted RoomyRoc customer service, and was greatly impressed with the experience - which included some of the fastest response times I've ever seen from a customer service department. PERIOD. None of the "we'll get back to you within three business days" auto-reply garbage so many companies offer. RoomyRoc's CS got back to me within HOURS. Once they clarified I had a defective part (vs. user error), they promptly sent a replacement via DHL. Customer Service even followed up to make sure everything turned out OK after the part was delivered. Impressive! CONCLUSION: My RoomyRoc has a permanent home at my desk, but I find myself thinking it would be great to have another one for the upstairs master bedroom (for when my chronic illness really flares up), and yet another for using a laptop from the sofa (for those days I feel well enough to get out of bed, but not well enough to sit at a desk). While standing desks aren't a viable option for me, this would work great as a sit/stand solution, too. If you've looked at the RoomyRoc, thought it looked a little "different," but neat, and wondered whether to pull the trigger, DO IT!

The table is so good that it meets all my needs. The price is high for a reason, there is nothing wrong with spending money.

Build quality is very good. The lock/move button is fantastic! I didn't expect to use it as a standing desk, I've never been a fan of standing desks. That being said, I've now discovered that I like doing virtual meetings standing up! The casters are of good quality, each of them has a lock switch. Rolls great unlocked, stays put when locked. Might be an improvement if half the casters locked, because I do find I have to hunt a bit for which casters are in the locked position when I want to be mobile. Desk surface is great, actual wood. Light but very sturdy. I have experimented a bit with having a monitor arm attached, and it holds up to the additional oddly placed weight with no problem at all. The underside is the same surface as the top, they both take adhesives very well. A little VHB tape and a magnetic automobile phone dock and, ta-da, perfect phone holder. Plenty of room underneath for getting USB-c accessories out of the way, I mounted a dedicated USB-C PD power supply, a USB-c PD passthrough mini docking station, and a USB 3 portable hard drive on the underside with microfiber velcro. Route the power cables cleanly and ta-da, the desk and your laptop are now "one". The base is STURDY and the counterweight is beefy. The only drawback is that the excellent stability comes at a cost of a pretty large footprint for the base and caster wheels. The built in foot stool rotates freely, so swinging it out of the way when you're trying to snuggle the base up as close to that couch corner is possible. All in all, I've experimented with dozens of workspace/desk ideas in 8+ years of working remotely. A few weeks with this rolling desk and I'm absolutely in love. One more note, I've been taking guitar lessons remotely since Covid hit, and the adjustability of this desk has ended up being excellent for lessons, where I'm leaning against/half sitting on a stool. TL;DR: Unexpectedly great... lots of possibilities, good build quality, worth the premium price.

The RoomyRoc unit arrived on time. It was extremely well packaged. All parts are packed in two large styrofoam halves that are taped together and put into an inner box. The inner box is packed into an outer box. Though the outer box had taken a bit of a beating from the shipping, everything inside was completely unscathed. The parts all seemed to be quality made, down to the eight supplied screws. Not hint of cheapness or cutting of corners. I did not download the instructional video, and was able to successfully follow the sparse directions. Assembly took about 15 minutes. The quality of the unit seems to be very good. Time will tell how well it holds together, and I'll try to remember to update my review after we've used it for a while. There are a couple of improvements that would take this great product and make it super: 1) Build it so that the desk top swivels! In some of the photos in the listing I got the impression that the top swivels. It does not. You can remove the 4 socket-head screws holding the desk top on, and then rotate 90 degrees and put the screws back in. Very inconvenient if you need to rotate the top. 2) It would be great if it were possible to prevent the footrest from swiveling around the pole. The adjustable collar that is on the pole only sets the height of the footrest. It doesn't constrain the footrest from freely swiveling. It would be great if it could do be changed to allow you to lock the footrest position to prevent it from swiveling. All-in-all, this is a great little device and I'm really looking forward to being able to use it for a long time.

I have been in search of a laptop desk to use in my living area so I could sit on my couch or one of my comfortable chairs and still use my laptop - without having to have it sitting on my lap for hours on end. My requirements: 1) decent sized tabletop, preferably one that tilts slightly but has a lip for making sure computers don’t slide off; 2) must be able to be used with a recliner 3) must be easy to move; 4) not permantly installed. You might be surprised to know that it’s been a tough table to find! I looked at the AirDesk and several others here on Amazon. Most of them wouldn’t work with a recliner because you can’t have your feet up and still slide the desk into place. Most of my furniture won’t work with desks that have slide under them anyway. Other options need to be pretty much permanently installed and while I could live with that, it would just remind me of things I should be doing but aren’t. Others weren’t easily moved or took up a lot of space when moved out of my living area. In the end, I just want to have my feet up and have a comfortable work space. I stumbled across the RoomyRoc mobile desk on one of my searches and was immediately intrigued. This is the mobile desk that I would have designed if I knew how. It meets every one of my requirements at a reasonable price. I can sit on my couch, pull the RoomyRoc desk out of my primary office, and sit with my dogs in comfort. I can push it out of the way quickly for refreshment breaks, and be back to work with a minimal of effort. No more shifting the computer off my lap and the ergonomics are so much better for sight lines and typing. Plus - have you figured out the best part yet? You get to put your feet up (or not...whatever works best for you)! The box arrived on time and undamaged. The desk was packed very well - all components were packed in styrofoam inside a box and covered with an outer box. All parts were accounted for (with an additional castor wheel in my box). Installation was straightforward and completed in less than an hour. Pros: - good build quality; all parts are strong and sturdy - woodgrained desktop is good sized; the tapered style seems to make the best use of space - articulating arm is firm; the button is in the exactly right place - table top is tiltable with a simple twist of a piece of the articulating arm - the swinging footrest! It makes the whole thing perfect! - tabletop has a small lip on both top and bottom edges. It’s maybe 1/4”, which is enough to keep things from sliding off but not obnoxious when typing (although it is noticeable when using my iPad and Surface Pro, because their keyboards are so flat. Didn’t notice it at all with a regular laptop.) - base is wide and sturdy; rolls easily on hard flooring and over rugs/carpet - changing the way the tabletop is attached means this can be used at bedside too - tabletop height is infinitely adjustable to fit almost any chair height - Would work well as a mobile podium for speaking engagements Cons: - Some people will notice the small bit of bouncing that happens when typing, but that will go away quickly once you get used to it. - The sturdiness of this desk means it’s a little heavy; I won’t be carrying it up and down stairs or loading it into a car often, but it’s nice to know I could if I wanted to. I am glad to have finally found the right piece of equipment for my needs. The price is amazing for the build quality and usefulness of this desk. I can’t say enough good things about it.
