I bought these to replace some old neoprene BBQ gloves that were falling apart. I am very happy I did! I am impressed how flexible these gloves are while still being heat resistant. I am even more impressed by how well they grip smooth or slippery items. A non-stick loaf pan from a bread machine poses no problems with these, where the old neoprene gloves would let the pan slip right out of my hands. I was able to move a slick "seasoned" pizza steel heated to 400 degrees F with problem at all. They also clean up very easily. I just put them on, then wash with soap and water like I'm washing my bare hands. I typically wear Large size gloves. The one-size-fits-most in these Geekhom gloves fit me well. As some have noted, the fingers seem short. The I find though that the gloves are so flexible that they still work very well! They also work well like old fashioned pot holders, without even putting them on. Very pleased with these gloves. I highly recommend them!

These are game changers at the grill. You can safely handle the racks, the pans, even the meat itself. Easy to clean, keep the gloves on and wash at the sink with soap and water just like you're washing your hands. I had never used gloves before and thought I'd give them a try, and what a difference it has made. They are of high quality and universal fit is comfortable to me. I have thin but long hands I think, and the protection from the heated elements is perfect.

Great product for BBQ or smoker

These gloves have been excellent for grilling and outdoor cooking. I use them regularly with my griddle, smoker and BBQ, and they perform very well. They provide a good level of protection while still allowing enough flexibility to handle food and move things around easily. They are thick and feel very durable, but still surprisingly comfortable to wear. They don’t feel stiff or awkward like some heavier gloves can. One thing I really like is the grip. They make handling meat and other items much easier, especially when dealing with slippery foods. I often just use one on my dominant hand, and that works perfectly for most tasks. They can also be used indoors, but they really shine when used outside with grilling setups. The turquoise color is also a nice touch and looks great. I’ve seen a few bad reviews of this item. I have large hands and had no problem with donning the gloves. They work great for removing my flan pan from a steamer setup I use. They aren’t great removing grease covered commercial flat pans and racks from a smoker, I solved that by draping kitchen rags over them while pulling the items out. The silicone is as slippery as heck when covered with grease. They clean up easily with soap and water. The short fingers are not a problem they are much more tactile than a mitten. I felt no extreme heat or discomfort when dipping my glove tips into the steam and boiling water.

Good quality. Great at keeping your hands cool. Thick and a little difficult handling small items.

Gloves do work against the heat of a grill. However, one of the gloves had it's cotton liner pull out when taking them off. It's been difficult to get it back in and it keeps coming out when used. I'll keep them because they work, but it is a real hassle to fix them after each use. There are a lot of choices. I have big hands. They may work for others and now you can make an informed decision.

On trouve souvent ces gants pour éviter de se brûler sur un grand barbecue mais ils sont assez courts, ce qui n'est pas génial avec une grille large : on ne risque pas de se brûler les mains mais l'avant bras oui ! Sur ces gants il y a en plus une zone étendue en coton renforcé ce qui est vraiment bien vue. Ils sont assez souples malgré l'épaisseur et on manipule plutôt facilement les éléments tout en étant vraiment protégé même sur un barbecue assez "fort".

I have real trouble finding proper oven gloves (ie, with fingers) that I can use, as a woman with big hands. Most 'large' or even 'XL' gloves are, shall we say, insultingly small. Remnants from an era where women capped out at 5' tall (I'm closer to 6') and were dainty little blossoms (I am... not that). Nothing ruins my day more than housework, unless it's housework done with washing or oven gloves that make me feel like an outlandishly oversized freak of nature. Anyway, on to these gloves, which totally WIN in my book. They're big enough that both I and my husband can use them comfortably with our 2XL-sized hands, and I reckon they'd even be good for a 3XL or possibly 4XL sized hand. NO MORE must we giants among men (and women) risk our fingers with tea towels that slip! NO MORE must we hide away in the dark, ashamed of our giant mitts! For there is a solution, and these gloves are it! Sorry, got a bit carried away there. It's a heady feeling, being able to grab hot trays straight from the oven with perfect poise because I have gloves that actually fit. And the fact they have fingers (not one of those weird oven-mittens that make you feel like some kind of human-walrus hybrid) means I actually have full control over what I'm holding. Great gloves, zero complaints. They're well-made, and totally live up to expectations.

Avevo un po' paura perché moltissimi guanti di questo tipo hanno sempre il problema che ok, il calore lo tengono, ma fino ad un certo punto o fino a specifici gradi. Questi guanti sono ottimi, sono molto contento. Sono un po' ingombranti perché non sono solo da forno ma anche pernsati per il BBQ e i fritti, quindi ad esempio a prova di schizzi. Usati come presine per le pentole fanno ridere, son troppo grandi. Io li utilizzo per il forno, e finalmente sfornare pizze/arrosti non richiede più l'utilizzo di più presine sovrapposte per evitare di bruciarmi: questi guanti resistono piuttosto bene. Il calore passa, si sente, la teglia ustionante da forno a 200 gradi non va tenuta per troppi secondi, ma bastano tranquillamente per prenderla dal forno e posizionarla senza fretta da qualche parte. Comodissimo il sacchetto di plastica con cui vengono spediti, con la chiusura ermetica che li protegge da polvere e altro. E' un buon acquisto che funziona bene.
