Plastic spool broke in shipping, but otherwise perfect
I got this to do a home gym cable pull system. This is bonkers overkill for that by weight, but by diameter it almost seems like it's too small. This could lead to a little skepticism, but if you attempt to cut this wire with anything but the right tool for the job, you're apt to get frustrated by how strong it really is.In the end for the home gym cable pull, 550 paracord turned out to be more practical because of how much easier it is to work with and adjust, but that doesn't detract from how great this cable is. I will be using it, just not for what yet.

Good for long lasting dog tie out.
After a half dozen pre-made dog tie-outs eventually kinking, rusting and breaking, I decided to make my own all stainless with a locking carabineer (I have a husky, so if you know, you know, if you know what I mean). The key was having a swivel on both ends to prevent kinks. So far outlasting the mild steel vinyl covered cable. And this was about the same price as three of those from HD, and will be able to make several more time outs (though I did have to buy the crimper).

Perfect for projects
Should work perfect. Quality product and looks nice too. I have a couple projects I'll use this on.

Installation Matters
The overall quality of the wire rope seems to be good. It's not too bad to work with but when installing, one will have to do something different than I. The rubberized coating slipped off of the wire and the curtain came tumbling down. It held for a couple weeks until a pretty windy day. When I put it back up I will have to figure out how to keep this from happening again. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Great cable. Mine has not stretched.
I used this to hang fairly heavy string lights and it has not stretched in the few months they've been up. Use quality hardware, strip the rubber housing where the hardware connects and it won't stretch.

Not for commercial use, snaps with daily use, wires of the 7x7 braid are thin and unravel easily
It lasts about 7 months then snaps. I've had 2 breaks now and will have to replace all of them with a different cable. Load is between 20-150lbs of daily use. Cables are breaking in the middle not where they are clamped. Some of the thin wires inside unravel and pierce the casing. Ultimately the braid itself is not strong or dense enough, it unravels during tension. What I see when it breaks is that the wires are puled straight. The thickness matches the original cable but the wires inside are much more malleable. I have had the casing of the original cable slowly wear off around the pulley which is why I replaced them with this cable, but I have never experienced a single break with the original cables which have been going for 4 years.

3/16 black cable railing wire
Love it but went to order another spool and they were out of it. Was wondering when they will get their 250 foot spool back in stock

Very strong
Very easy to work with. Used a come-along to stretch it very tight and it held with no problem.
