I used these as décor for my husband's party, and when I finished putting them up the rain began falling, but it did not affect the lights which were great.

The two biggest disappointments I had with these is that the length is shorter than expected and they are pretty dim.Don't buy six of these expecting it to cover 53 feet of roofline. I read somewhere that these are 10 feet long. Well, when you take off the converter and plug length, it brings the whole set up down to 8 feet. And then when you connect the string lights together, there is a gap between the connections, so you have to bring in some of the end length to get the width even for a more symmetrical line of lights. 60 feet of lights just went down to 48 and now I'm short. I have to buy two more of these in order to decorate my house.Another thing: these are very dim. We have LEDs in our home that are white light and much brighter than these. The cascade effect is pretty, no doubt, but disappointing when it's pitch dark and you still think the brightness is unremarkable.I will update when the season is over on durability and weatherproof-ness. It is pretty rainy and windy where I live, and we stapled these to our roofline under the gutters.For now, I'm going to buy two more strings of these and compete our roofline and add traditional lights so our Christmas decorations don't look so dull.

Perfect for Christmas or anytime you want to have a falling snow or rain effect. Definitely by several if need for large area.

As a single set or if you buy more than one set at a time, I recommend these. However... If you have a set that's a couple years old and buy a new set, you may find (as I did) that they can not connect end to end. If it wasn't for this, it would probably be a higher review. The older set has also faded some.

They don’t cover as much as the picture shows. I would have to spend about $100 per tree.

These lights are great but we lost some of them and had to send them back. I don't know how they will work next Christmas...just have to see if they survive the year until next Christmas to try them out again. But we were the first to have them in our neighborhood and people really loved them! They were worth it! You do need to be careful not to hook too many together at one time....maybe three strands to one power cord, so you don't lose your light's brightness. I would probably give them four and 1/2 stars!
