Good toy, our Umbrella Cockatoo loves the coconut pieces. My only complaint was the way the chains of the toy were attached to the top coconut husk seem flimsy, with just a small split key ring to keep them in place. Overall good toy for the money with many different pieces on it for play.

My bird's favorite toy. These bird toys can be much more expensive than on amazon so I appreciate them being for sale here. This is a large toy suitable for amazons, alexandrines, african greys ...probably any bird of around this size.

If you’re looking for a toy that will be joyfully annihilated in record time, congratulations—you’ve found it. The KATUMO Bird Toy isn’t just a toy. It’s a temporary art installation… followed by a high-speed wood-chipping event hosted by your parrot. My African Grey gives it a solid 3-day inspection before reducing it to rainbow-colored toothpicks. My macaw, however, sees it as a challenge to his shred speed record and pulverizes it in 18 hours flat, like a feathered chainsaw with something to prove. When I walk into the bird room after they’ve “played,” the floor looks like a Crayola lumberyard exploded. Splinters. Everywhere. Colorful, festive, expensive splinters. Pros: Keeps birds happily occupied (and mildly smug). Temporarily satisfies their deep emotional need to destroy. Smells like woodsy ruin and accomplishment. You’ll never need to sweep so often in your life. Cons: You must either be independently wealthy or on a first-name basis with your vacuum. Blink, and it's gone. It’s like the mayfly of bird toys. Macaws consider it an appetizer. Would I buy it again? Of course. I love my birds, and nothing says “I care” like throwing $23 into the cage and watching it disintegrate in real time. KATUMO: For parrots with strong beaks and zero respect for money.

My African Grey was slow to play with it but once he did he LOVED it! It keeps him entertained for hours. Really holds up well. My only complaint is the o-ring used at the bottom of each chain to keep the blocks on is very flimsy. Once the parrot gets ahold of that the peices will all fall off that particular chain. I have been able to collect the peices when this happens and restring them putting back the o-ring after some reshaping. My Grey usually shreds a new toy in just a few days... he's been playing with this over a week and its still in good shape. At least half the materials, if not more, have yet to be chewed up and destroyed. Only the little round beads were easily and immediately broken and fell off. The other wood and coconut shells are really holding up well. I will definitely purchase this for my Grey again.. highly recommend!

Bought this as a gift for a family member's African Grey. He's a little timid so they hung it to the side for awhile. He got used to it and loved it! At this point only the chains are left, he's chewed through all the wood lol but they are just going to replace the wood and make it like new! Well made, large enough for an African Grey! And decent price!

Looked (in the pictures) to be a sturdy toy for my Grey. However, was shipped by Amazon in combined orders packaging. Loose contents with zero packing material, which led to broken toy. Very dissatisfied🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

We have an umbrella cockatoo, one of the major destructive forces on earth, right there with hurricanes and earthquakes. So I have no illusion that when I buy a bird toy that it will last longer than a week or two. And I choose toys that have tougher parts and use chains, instead of string and soft wood. This toy is advertised for large parrots and the pictures look decent enough. However, the chains and connecting rings are so weak, it took less than 10 minutes for my U2 to disconnect the parts and have them scattered around the cage bottom. The connecting rings bend open and leave sharp ends that could easily injure a bird. I ended up replacing all chains and connections with stuff I have left over from previous toys and some poly rope. Once that was done, the parts lasted about as long as I could hope for. I am giving 3 stars because it might be a decent toy for a mid-sized or a more gentle parrot. But do not buy this if you have a large cockatoo, macaw or other strong-beaked parrot.
