Seriously, this is the best purchase that I've ever made on Amazon. It's been hot in Southern California, and it's important to keep hydrated. And a 24 ounce tall glass of water or diluted juice is what we all need. And having the bottom of the tumbler shaped to fit perfectly into the drink holder of my new Outback enables me to have it close by at all times. Of course, I had to purchase the lid to keep from spilling in my new car. When the lid is closed up, the system is completely air tight, and doesn't drip even when I hold it upside down, and shake it. Having the double wall construction really keeps the liquid insulated so that it stays cold for a long time-- and it doesn't sweat or feel cold to the touch. I fill it every night, and leave it in the refrigerator so that the contents will be cold in the morning. I was concerned about BPA because the product description on Amazon didn't say anything about it. But when I checked the website, it was clear that Tervis products are BPA free. I strongly recommend buying the lid for this tumbler if you're going to travel with it. They are a little difficult to attach and detach, but that's the price we pay for having a very secure fit. Opening the drinking hole cover allows the air to escape, rather than pushing against the lid, so that helps. Also, there is a review that complains about the drinking hole cover spraying liquid everywhere when it's closed. I found that to be true until I found a way to close it slowly rather than snapping it shut. But that and being difficult to attach to the tumbler become non issues after getting a little experience. I like the fact that these tumblers are unbreakable and guaranteed forever. It's a very high quality product that won't disappoint you. I just read that one of the easiest and most effective things we can do to benefit our health is to drink an extra glass of water per day. And this tumbler makes that much easier. I can't say enough about it, and I feel strange that a tumbler has made me so happy. I even enjoy trying different juices and teas to mix, to make the best combinations. I like this larger Tervis tumbler to put the harder ball ice cubes to keep drinks cool in this 110 degree weather. I use the covers to sip through. Beautiful design

Some people love this cup and others hate it. I think that the reason for this is in people's expectations and how they take care of the tumbler. I've had it for over a month and I use it all the time. Is it perfect? No. But I didn't expect it to be. Here's the reality. It's a double-chambered system. Whether or not the space between them is vacuum-sealed or not is unknown. Will this significantly reduce the amount of condensation that drips on your table? yes. Will it eliminate all condensation on the outside of the glass? No. If there is a significant temperature difference between the inside liquid and the ambient room temperature, then a fine condensation will form. Of course, if you fill it with ice and some liquid then put it in front of a heated source (e.g. your laptop's heating vent), then the condensation will be greater. But usually, the condensation is like a fine mist. It's a huge improvement to the sweating that was happening with my glass tumbler. Some reviewers have complained about a bad taste. Yeah, I noticed a taste for the first couple of weeks, but then it went away. I even did a wash-out period of going back to my glass tumblers for a week and then trying the Tervis tumbler again to make sure that I wasn't noticing the bad taste because I had gotten used to it. I haven't used it with hot liquids because I don't drink hot stuff. I also have noticed from several reviews that people complain about their dishwashers damaging the cup. In general, I think for a cup with this type of construction, you shouldn't tempt fate by washing it in a dishwasher. It design (wider mouth than bottom) makes it easy to wash by hand. Lastly, some reviewers have complained about the lip of this tumbler. It's true that the lip is not perfectly smooth. There's an edge on the outside where the inner and outer walls were joined. At first it was annoying, but once you keep using it, you'll adapt and forget all about it. This cup isn't perfect, but for $15 and the right expectations, it does a hell of a job. note: make sure to click "helpful" for all reviews that you like. I love red, so when I saw this tumbler, I just had to order it. That, plus the fact that it can be put in a microwave. I haven't tried that yet, because I got this for cold drinks. Not all double-walled brands are the same and, while some do produce condensation, this one doesn't. It also says it's dishwasher-safe, but I'm going to hand wash mine, just to be safe. I do wish it was a bit thinner higher up, because I have small hands, and in order to get a good grip on it, I have to hold it more toward the bottom. I have a holder in which it fits, but don't like to use it all the time. Also be aware that, like most double-walled glasses, this doesn't comfortably hold a full 24oz. I'm OK with that, because I just needed 20oz, and it handles that amount well. Further, like most plastic items, the lip isn't smooth, and it feels a little rough on the mouth. It isn't horrible, but I do wish they would find a way to fix that. For these reasons, I docked it a star. Other than that, I really like this tumbler, and have already ordered th 16 oz version to use for coffee.

I had one of these before, the old one broke the seal between the inside and outside layers of plastic from dropping it too many times so I had to throw it away. I had to get a new one, I love this tumbler, it's a great size for lots of ice and still plenty to drink. (24 oz) Its versatile; I have both lids; one that holds the straw and one that closes (so things don't leak when knocked over) no breaking and no spills. Edited Feb 2020 I'm now on my 3rd one. I still love this. I hate that the seal breaks between layers. But I'm keeping my 5 star review because each time it breaks, I still get another one. I dated my edit so if/when it breaks again I will know how long it lasts. I like that it keeps my drinks cold a long time and when it gets knocked over sitting on concrete or cool decking by the pool it doesn't break. Sure after many times the seal breaks but it seems to hold up very well. Also I noticed someone stated there purchase was not Tervis , I checked and mine is Tervis Made in USA Although I have had to purchase 3 already, I would recommend friends and family buy one. I love that it has lids and a wonderful handle you can purchase. I always use the lid with the straw and the handle. I have 3 dogs and when we go for walks this gets knocked over a lot when I'm sitting on a bench and it's sitting on the ground next to me so don't pay much attention to the fact I've had to buy 3 already. Give it a shot, you won't regret it. I personally like that mine is easy to clean too. I have large hands and my hand fits into the cup easily to clean it. At times, I drink Hawaiian punch and the color doesn't transfer into the cup.

I live in a hot humid climate. I love these cups because they don't sweat onto the table and keep my drink nice and cold. Have several cups like this -- they're definitely worth the money.

If you drink lots and need something that actually matches your thirst then this is the big boi you need.

I thought this would come with the lid and it did not. Now I have to order a lid separately. I have never had to do this with any tervis cups I have had in the past. Very disappointed in this.

I use this tumbler often for tea. It is very sturdy, doesn't transfer heat, and is easy to clean. Even with repeated use the tumbler hasn't stained.
