With new security threats nearly every week all over the globe, governments and businesses are forced to take extraordinary measures to protect themselves. Likewise, espionage continues at levels comparable to the days of the Cold War—but many more players are now participating. In this environment, a new industry has grown to deal with these challenges: international security consulting. Drawing from military, law-enforcement, and intelligence communities, new private companies are springing up across the world. Global Security Consulting , written by a former intelligence specialist who has built a successful consultancy, provides solid guidance for anyone wishing to enter this glamorous but often dangerous field. Review: Good Information - This is a sound book written from an American perspective. But it is still relevant for people from other countries like Australia, NZ, Canada, UK, or the EU since we have similar anti-corruption laws to deal with. I work for an International Organization at the moment so I would note the cultural information is very important for anyone working internationally. Even if you are not working independently as a consultant (ie. working for a multinational in a security role) it is worth picking up. Review: This book good business sense instruction manual that provides a good reference ... - This book good business sense instruction manual that provides a good reference for starting in a field that is often vague in regard to products provided. The security consulting industry is a personality based endeavor and this instruction provides some good basic business instruction to leverage KSA's into a money making venture.

Ten Commandments for Success
I am a co-managing director of Poros International, LLC, and like many consultants, there's an ever changing supply and demand that one needs to stay ahead of the curve When I picked up this book several months ago, the first thing I did was turn to chapter 6, “Ten Commandments for Success” Luke Bencie explains several simple kernels of wisdom to be successful in global security consulting. Reading just that section alone took me less than ten minutes, and I was convinced me to double check my business model.
