Purchased this item because our wood burning fireplace is no longer efficient nor that safe, so we thought a nice electric insert would be nice for some local heat plus the added ambience of colorful artificial flames.This unit is pretty much an easy setup....take it out of the box, and set it on your hearth if you want it to be freestanding (which is what we have done). It also comes with a small base to raise it up a few inches if necessary. Then plug it in and turn it on. It you want to mount it or do a more complicated inset, that also can be accomplished, but that is not what we are doing with the unit.In terms of heat output, we have a very high ceiling in our living room, which then negates the ability of the unit to heat the entire room. The fan blower is ok, but not enough to spread the heat well into the room. If your room is smaller with a normal ceiling height, then the heat output would be quite nice.In terms of ambience, it is a nice addition to the room, and for that we are satisfied. The remote is easy to use, the flame speed and colors are easily changed, and if you are close enough to the unit, you will feel the effects of the heat and blower.Overall our rating of this fireplace inset is very good and we'd recommend it to anyone wanting to use it for the purposes stated above.

I like the fireplace overall, I do wish it projected more heat. The fire visual and ambience it creates are pleasant and work for me. I did have a problem with the a couple of the logs not being lit upon it's arrival. That didn't bother me to much so I stuck with it. After one full season the motors for the rotational parts inside, that create the flame flicker appearance stoped working. When I received the fireplace it offered one full (additional year) warranty if I registered it within a certain amount of time. So two years coverage in-which I took advantage of. I reached out to them by email and they were very pleasant and responded in a prompt manner. After some communication and a video showing them the problems. They offered me a replacement and it arrived quickly. I would recommend this company and their products because the do stand behind them. I am pleased and would feel confident purchasing from this company again.

Update: After writing my initial review, Turbro stood by their product and provided a substantial credit towards the purchase of a replacement unit. Hoping I have better luck this time … Thank you !I purchased this and received in October of 2022 through Amazon. I only used this heater for approximately 6 months total (due to the weather conditions where I live), and for about 2 hours total per week to offset early morning cold. The unit quit heating in January of 2024, and of course, my warranty expired in October of 2023. Turbro can do nothing as the unit is no longer made, nor do they have a comparable replacement.$365 down the drain. Be careful with these units.

Purchased Feb 09,2023 has been heating only half a room 200 to 250 square feet, only short time intervals, now stops completely when need. We are seniors and cannot afford any more of this Chinese crap.Please listen to other reviews, "DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK" ... C M WHITE

Had it for just over a year and it worked great(or at least the amount of time it was actually used living in Texas). About 2 weeks after the 1 year mark, the flame animation stopped working. Heater still worked and it still lit up to show a glow, just no flame. Emailed customer support expecting to hear that I was out of warranty or at the very least that I would have to pay expensive shipping to return it. I was asked a few basic questions and asked to send a video of the issue. After I sent the video, I received a reply asking if I would like a partial refund or a replacement. I chose replacement and had a new unit at my door within about a week from my first email. I believe support is from China because I only recieved replies late at night, but they were very to the point and gave no hassle.

Love this fireplace/heater. We needed heat for our living room and kitchen, and wanted to build a fireplace to our liking and custom dimensions. This worked perfect as the insert and looks great! It also heats our living room, sons room and kitchen which are all close in proximity (around 600 sqft total). So far we love it and don’t have any complaints.

This fireplace was infrared, which was what i wanted. I also wanted realism and silence throughout the spinning of the light feature. The realism is not very accurate, but it definitely tries. I like the embers setting, it's the only silent one, besides the no light setting, and is friendly. It did however do weird things without me pressing any button. I woke up in the middle of the night and the heat was on, which totally scared me and i just unplugged it. When i woke up, 6 hours later, it was still unplugged, and it started making weird noises...like someone was smaking it with a light zipper. Maybe my house is haunted?? Anyway, i think the heat is pleasant. But since i bought a whole package, i like it to be good all around. The flames look like sharp knives flickering in the background, and the embers look like they are rolling with a water effect. I do like the pulse that dims and brightenes the light on the embers setting. But the orange light is overbearing in general. Nice 3D effect though.

The media could not be loaded. I searched for months before choosing a fireplace insert! We needed one that not only was beautiful but functional for what we wanted and needed. We needed a insert that we could 🔒 lock so our children couldn't mess with the buttons. It also comes with a remote which is great and that's where the 🔒 lock button is so you can lock the touchscreen buttons. The heat 🔥 output is great.... You can dim the brightness 🔆🔅 also change the fire setting. Just a great product. This is exactly what we were looking for... Couldn't be happier... Definitely would recommend.
