CARCINOGENS, TOXINS, Very Little Active Ingredient, And Some Ingredients Are Illegal Toxins
This is a hard NO and please DON'T buy this. Amazon shouldn't be selling this, because it's toxic and contains ingredients that are "GRAS" (safe) for inclusion in face-creams and lotions but NOT in food along with ingredients NOT considered safe in foods and then ingredients that are banned in most of the world. Ingredients: Water Sucrose Corn Syrup Glycerin Propylene Glycol Polysorbate 80 Carboxymethycellulose Honey Eucalyptus Oil Menthol Sodium Benzoate Methylparaben FD&C Yellow #5 Propylparaben FD&C Blue #1 Potassium Sorbate Onion Bulb Extract Sunflower Oil DATEM Maltodextrin Rosemary Leaf Extract Watercress Leaf Extract Garlic Bulb Extract Radish Sprout Extract I'll evaluate that list a little later, but first I'd like to point out that all of this adds up, when including the TWO small doses so-called "actives", to 15ml of fluid that converts to anywhere from 13.2 to 14.8 GRAMS (depending on percentage of fat, where lower fat-content equals much higher gram-content, such that we are looking at nearly 15-grams of product per serving). And, in all that huge nearly 15-grams of liquid, we only have 22.5 MICROgrams of Vitamin D and 1 MILLIgram of Zinc as our supposedly "active" ingredients. For reference, a standard multivitamin contains far more of each "active" ingredient, most patients are told to take fifty times that amount of Vitamin D and five to ten times that amount of Zinc, and the amount in the top-selling multivitamins is between twenty and forty times the amount of Vitamin D and then five to ten times the amount of Zinc we're seeing in this product. In other words, as to the actives here, this doesn't contain a viable dose of either substance, while exposing the user to known CARCINOGENS and other TOXINS if they dare to ingest this. While there is an upper-safe limit for both Vitamin D and Zinc, with people needing to watch Zinc levels the same as Selenium levels, this doesn't even come close to reaching the lower effective level of either Zinc or Vitamin D. They aren't even coming close to one-half of the RDA, which is the bare-minimum needed for average-health. That said, let's revisit that ingredient list, for anyone unfamiliar with these ingredients, and we'll go over what these ingredients actually are and whether or not you should ingest these ingredients. Ingredients, This Time With Warning-Information: Water (Probably fine, although nearly every product specifies Reverse Osmosis Filtered or at least Filtered Water, and this doesn't, which means it could be from a tap in Flint, for all we know, and given how much of the following list is toxic to human beings and animals, I wouldn't be surprised if this was water running off from a plastics-factory somewhere.) Sucrose (Pure sugar, nothing else, and a whopping 8 GRAMS of it. That will make even a diabetic feel a slight boost after they take a supplement, and it's a common trick-ingredient used to make people believe that a substance is making them "feel" slightly better. I feel better after eating a doughnut, but that doesn't make sugar good for me. That just means I'm dumb enough to eat a doughnut instead of a salad.) Corn Syrup (Another form of sugar, a toxic form of sugar, a form of sugar that the body doesn't even recognize and doesn't feel full ingesting, even though it does great damage to the endocrine system and causes insulin-resistance.) Glycerin (Glycerin comes in two forms. First is the industrial form, which is unsafe for consumption. Second is vegetable-glycerin which is a sugar-alcohol that is safe for most adults to consume, but not for children or pregnant women. This does not specify vegetable glycerin, nor does it specify food-grade glycerin.) Propylene Glycol (This is a TOXIN that causes renal-failure, commonly found in face-creams and lotions and also in plastics, but usually not found in food, because humans and animals are not supposed to ingest this substance.) Polysorbate 80 (Not so terrible. It's not healthy, it's on watchlists, but the research shows milder toxicity but it's not fatal or carcinogenic potential at low doses.) Carboxymethycellulose (Not terrible at all. This is a form of plant-based filler, found in capsules and foodstuffs, and it's actually the first sort-of-safe ingredient in this list.) Honey (Perfectly safe, except for two small issues. First, "Honey" can mean "Flavored Corn Syrup" when it's being used by a foreign ingredient maker. This is NOT MADE in the US. This is BOTTLED in the US. And so, since there is no sourcing information on the "Honey" in this product, be advised that it's more likely to be Flavored Corn Syrup than to be actual Honey made by Bees. Additionally, NO form of Honey is ever safe for a child under the age of one-year, and most doctors say to be safe and take that to two years, and many doctors also tell pregnant women to avoid Honey due to the potential for contamination with botulinum toxin. But, for everyone else, without sourcing information, the governmental standard says to assume it's Honey-flavored-Corn-Syrup, as Honey will always have sourcing information.) Eucalyptus Oil (NOT safe to ingest. Eucalyptus Oil is most often used as a rub on skin and in aromatherapy, for colds most often. It is NOT safe to ingest, because Eucalyptus Oil is a highly concentrated product that is both toxic and corrosive. This is why we see it in skin-rubs but not in ingested products.) Menthol (While Menthol is safe to ingest in small quantities, there are 4 to 6 entire GRAMS unaccounted for in this syrup, such that we don't know how much Menthol is included here, and it's very high up on the list, which means it might have as much as half-a-gram, which is a toxic dose. Menthol is a trick-ingredient, used to cause a cooling-sensation that tricks the user into thinking that something is happening, when nothing at all is happening and they are being fooled. It's common in cough syrups, even though it has no actual effect on coughing. It does cool the throat by numbing it, with toxins that are not actually terribly safe, but it doesn't actually cause healing that leads to coughing less, which is what most people think it does. All it actually does is harm the tissue enough to numb the tissue, so that we cough less than we were coughing before, which is better achieved with a low-dose lidocaine-spray that's less toxic while being regulated as to quality and content. That said, Menthol is still safe in TINY amounts in something like a throat lozenge, but it has a limitation on how often you can use it and how much you can use, which is not listed on this package. They didn't include the milligrams of menthol per serving, and it must be a very low dose to be safe, and they didn't tell us how often this unspecified dose is safe to take. Therefore, Menthol becomes toxic in this product.) Sodium Benzoate (This is a TOXIN that is still legal in the US, even though it's banned in most other countries. Sodium Benzoate metabolizes to Benzene, which is CARCINOGENIC. This is why most states are currently evaluating banning it, why the Federal government is looking into banning it, and why some soda manufacturers are switching away from it. This chemical is part of why we have a cancer-epidemic in the US, while other nations have lower rates of cancer. Sodium Benzoate, when ingested, metabolized to enough Benzene that the patient will develop organ-complications inside of ten years and cancer within twenty years, if they ingest a low level over time. If the patient ingests several sodas per day, for years, they often develop cancer inside of ten years. This substance is NEVER safe, no matter how many times you notice it in Pepsi and then wonder why they're using it, when Citric Acid does the same thing to preserve the soda without causing disease. And, of course, the answer is money. Benzene-containing products are cheaper to make than those containing Citric Acid as a preservative.) Methylparaben (This is a TOXIN that is always CARCINOGENIC. This is never found in foods. NEVER ingest parabens. This paraben is a preservative used in things like candles and hand-lotion, as in actual candles you might burn at a romantic dinner or things you rub on your hands but don't ingest, and it's not actually safe to put parabens in hand-lotion, which is why nearly no one ever uses it in lotion anymore. This causes breast CANCER, among other cancers, and is banned in most developed nations.) FD&C Yellow #5 (This is a TOXIN and a HEAVY METAL. It's a colored form of Aluminum, as in the HEAVY METAL Aluminum, from which we make building-supplies and things for our cars. This is still legal in the US, but it's banned in most developed nations, because it causes everything from Autism to Alzheimer's while also contributing to liver disease and even causing CANCER. This is a heavy metal that should never be ingested. It's common in facial-care products, other skincare, lotions and the like, and shampoos, but it's usually only found in candy, which is designed to be toxic. Most foodstuffs are phasing out the use of any Aluminum. NEVER ingest Aluminum. There is only one context where this is considered "safe", and that's as a phosphorous binder for an end-stage renal-patient, although the form of Aluminum they are forced to ingest is a purified form that is guaranteed lead-free, which Colored-Aluminums are NOT. Colored-Aluminums are already banned in some states in the US and the data on harm they cause is ever-expanding, so NEVER ingest Aluminum.) Propylparaben (This is a TOXIN that is always CARCINOGENIC. It's never found in foods. This causes breast CANCER, among other cancers, and is banned in most developed nations.) FD&C Blue (This is a TOXIN. It's a colored form of Aluminum, as in a HEAVY METAL. Colored-Aluminum is banned in several states, and you should NEVER ingest Aluminum, because the list of harms this does is ever-expanding.) Potassium Sorbate (Oddly, while toxic, this one's not the end of the world. So, congratulations to the manufacturer for actually including something that won't kill me inside of ten years, if I use this product. Now to the bad news. Potassium Sorbate causes DNA damage to blood-cells when combined with ingredients found in nearly everything we ever eat, such that the patient experiences everything from mild anemia to mild increase in blood-clotting tendency. That's why you shouldn't eat Potassium Sorbate. It's not going to kill most people, but it will actually harm a person with preexisting anemia or preexisting elevations in clotting-tendency, and it will cause a person to feel less well if taken daily over a period of time.) Onion Bulb Extract (Congratulations to the manufacturer for including an actual health supplement. Sadly, the dose for this is a gram a day, and anything over one-half of one-gram would have to be labeled, and they round up from 0.3-grams and label that as 0.5 these days, which means it would be labeled if it contained even a tiny dose of 0.3-grams. This is not labeled on the nutritional label, such that this is likely present in such a low quantity as to be ineffective. And Onion is standardized, for content of the active ingredient, but this isn't labeled as standardized, which means it's probably not and may contain very little of the active compound for which people take Onion in the first place.) Sunflower Oil (This is a highly processed oil that is commonly used in place of healthier oils like Coconut and Avocado and Olive. Coconut is the best out there, although a high quality MCT Oil is preferable to Coconut, and Sunflower Oil is pretty far down the list of oils you'd want to take in supplement form. It adds nothing other than fat. That said, even one-half of one gram would have to be labeled, and they are required to round-up for labeling, such that anything under 0.3-grams is not labeled. This is not labeled, so it's less than one-third of a gram per-serving and appears to be here to increase absorption of the Vitamin D, which is present in such a low quantity that you probably wouldn't absorb much anyway, even without the fat-source. Also, to absorb Vitamin D properly, you need one full gram of fat, which is why they say to take it with food.) DATEM (This is a TOXIN that causes HEART FAILURE. DATEM stands for Diacetyl Tartaric Acid Ester of Mono and diglycerides. This toxin has an assigned number of E472e for classification. While it's legal in the US, it's banned in most developed nations because it causes fibrosis of the heart along with cardiovascular disease. It's not commonly used, except as a dough conditioner, because it's toxic and causes heart-disease.) Maltodextrin (This is a short-chain sugar molecule. You take Dextrose, then artificially process it down, the way that the body would over time, to a much shorter chain sugar, then include it in food as a sweetener that isn't technically sugar, even though it hits the body like already partially-digested sugar hits the body, still stimulating insulin production. There is no reason to include this in anything, as in ever, but it's included as a sweetener and filler-material.) Rosemary Leaf Extract (This is a preservative, what we call a "natural preservative", commonly used alongside Vitamin E Tocopherols and Vitamin C to preserve food without using anything carcinogenic or endocrine-disrupting. When processed correctly, to avoid damaging beneficial phytochemicals, this can be used as a supplement for health benefit, but it is present at too low a dose in this product to be beneficial and there is no information about processing here. Heat-processing and incorrect-handling greatly decreases antioxidant benefit and other benefits from Rosemary Leaf Extract, but that's usually how the preservative-form is processed, which is what appears to be in this product. And that begs the question of why they would bother with another preservative when more than half of the formula is preservative-based. Sugar and Corn Syrup are preservatives, but they add a toxic glycol as well, and then parabens on top of that, as if this needs to last a hundred years, when it's not safe to take on the first day.) Watercress Leaf Extract (A rarely-used but still-available supplement claiming to improve health, with limited data on efficacy. One study exists showing a mild improvement that is very small compared to the improvement seen by other supplements. That said, it's nontoxic, if processed correctly, and it's apparently mildly beneficial at a dose of around one-half of one gram. At this point in the list, we are far below one-quarter of one-gram as to the total weight in the product, such that this is very unlikely to be beneficial at such a low dose. And, of course, this is not marked in the nutritional label, which means it is present in minute quantities.) Garlic Bulb Extract (Congratulations to the manufacturer for including another actual health supplement that is known to give significant benefit for most individuals, although it's toxic to many animals just like onion. Sadly, the dose for this is between one gram and three grams per day, and anything over one-half of one-gram would have to be labeled, which it's not, and they round up such that it's anything over 0.3 grams, which means that this is present in such a low quantity as to be ineffective. This ingredient can't even ben considered as a benefit, given that the dosage is so very low. That said, they give no standardization information, when Garlic Extracts are always standardized for content, which means this may not even contain very much of the active-ingredient.) Radish Sprout Extract (Congratulations to the manufacturer for including the wrong form of a health-food. Radish Sprouts are eaten as microgreens and are highly beneficial eaten RAW. However, radish sprout extract is not as bioavailable and doesn't contain as many of the active compounds we find in the raw food, such that it's not a common supplement. It's simply not terribly beneficial, if not processed correctly, which requires raw food to be freeze-dried without heat (maintaining raw status), which this is not labeled as being. Also, the dose is many grams per day of radish sprout, and anything over one-half of one-gram would have to be labeled while anything over 0.3-grams would have been rounded up to a full 0.5-grams in our current system, which means that this substance not found in the nutritional label is present at too low a quantity to be effective for improving health.) And that's it. That's the WHOLE list of ingredients they put in this, added to the tiny amount of Vitamin D and the low-dose of Zinc. That's the whole ingredient list, right there, and there is NOTHING beneficial about this. Nothing good comes from taking a liquid-sugar made out of toxic-sugar mixed with standard-sugar and then blended with less active-ingredient than what you find in a standard multivitamin, then blended again with so-called "supplements" in incredibly low-doses of the unstandardized forms of those ingredients, and then blended yet again with CARCINOGENIC preservatives and (for no reason I can fathom) skincare ingredients and things nobody ever eats. We don't eat these things because most of us would like to stay alive and be healthy while doing it. And yet, this is marketed as being a health-improving supplement. Truly, NEVER INGEST THIS. This is UNSAFE. This contains CARCINOGENS AND OTHER TOXIC SUBSTANCES. CARCINOGENS. TOXINS. NEARLY NO ACTIVE INGREDIENTS. SUGAR along with CARCINOGENS and TOXINS is all you will find in this "supplement". So PLEASE DON'T INGEST THIS. For the record, most of the worst ingredients in the above list are only used in shampoos or lotions and are not considered safe to ingest. They are actually illegal in foodstuffs. How these ended up in a liquid-supplement we are instructed to ingest is beyond me, because these are actually illegal in food. While some of these chemicals are being sought for banning in the US, and are banned in nearly every developed nation, some are actually illegal here and this product should not be available on Amazon because it's technically illegal to sell some of these ingredients for ingestion in the United States. To the manufacturer, I say, please discontinue this product and stop selling harmful chemicals for ingestion.

look up ingredients before buying
seen this product expecting to use is as a daily supplement thought that is was Radishes & Onion Drink, since that's what it means in Spanish but after reading the label determined its best I don't use it after reading it has yellow#5 and Blue#1 which are extremely toxic stuff. seeing the reviews here i don't think anyone will ingest this drink as a supplement. upon opening the bottle it has a very distinct green color and strong mint odor. Read ingredients before purchasing I recommend it.

Not for me
Was very excited about this syrup. With ingredients like Radish sprout extract, garlic bulb extract, rosemary leave extract, oil bulb extract, honey, eucalyptus....it sounds great. What I did miss in that list, menthol. I just can not get past the taste. I know that is not a problem for everyone but for me, I just can not do menthol flavor.

I plan to buy it again once this bottle is finished.
I got this syrup because I wanted something more natural to support my family’s immune health, and it has actually turned out to be really helpful. The combination of honey, onion, garlic, and eucalyptus is strong but not unpleasant, and with the added vitamin D and zinc it feels like a complete formula. I like that it’s safe for both teens and adults, so we can all use the same bottle instead of buying separate products. The texture is smooth, it pours easily, and the taste is sweet enough that it’s not a struggle to take, even for younger ones. We’ve been using it during the change of seasons when colds are more common, and I’ve noticed fewer sniffles and quicker recovery when someone does start feeling under the weather. It’s become a handy supplement to keep in the cabinet, and I plan to buy it again once this bottle is finished.

good taste, a little too much coloring
This syrup has a pleasant wintergreen taste. It’s bright green (see photo) and that much coloring seems unnecessary. I’m looking forward to using this during the upcoming cold season because of the immune support. Only time will tell, but I’m optimistic because of the ingredients. I expect it to work.

I am so happy I found this Berro and Cebolla syrup!
I decided to try the syrup because I used to take a similar formula back in my country that worked absolute amazing, and I’m so glad I gave this one a try. From the first few doses, I noticed it helped a lot with congestion, and I could actually feel my lungs clearing up. It has a blend of natural ingredients like eucalyptus, honey, onion, and garlic. The taste is herbal and strong but I was used to it since this kind of syrup are very common on hispanic countries. I think the price is fair for 8oz bottle but I wish they do a bigger version of it. I am so happy to find this natural version of cough syrup that works wonders!
