I have thought of purchasing a Soda Stream or equivalent for years, but kept putting it off. With the cost of sodas skyrocketing, I finally got one. Amazon had a sale during Prime Days, which made this bundle quite affordable. You get the streaming device, 2 bottles of CO2, 2 extra bottles to use, giving you 3 total. And you get 2 bottles of the Bubly flavorings. I also ordered a variety pack of soda syrups made by Soda Stream. The package arrive the next unmolested. I opened the package and while I was pulling the box out that contained the soda stream system, the box slipped and sliced my finger. So be careful unpackaging things so you don't get cut like I did. Fortunately, the cut was minor and I continued on. Once everything was upacked, I quickly read the instructions and inserted a CO2 cannister in the pump. I filled the included 1Liter bottle with COLD water, as recommended, and put it in the fill position in the CO2 dispenser. PLease do not overfill the bottle. There is a line and do not fill above that line before you charge the bottle with CO2. Once the bottle was in place to be carbonated, I pressed the button to discharge CO2 into the water. You need to press the button at least 3 times (up to 5 times for more carbonation) and I didn't wait long enough or wait at all between charges and water spurted out of the bottle, and spilling all over the counter. Lesson learned. WAIT between CHARGES for the water to calm down. I've not had a problem of spillage since. That was fun. Once the bottle had been charged, I added some soda syrup to the bottle. Again, disaster. With the water being COLD and CARBONATED, it was like dumping ice cream into cold rootbeer and the bottle bubbled over. So the trick is to pour the syrup in slowly or in stages so as not to cause Vesuvius to erupt. Also, please pour the syrup in while holding the bottle over her sink, just in case it does overflow. BTW, the syrup was called Dr Pete, which is supposed to be like Dr Pepper. It's close, but not exactly the same. Once the syrup is in the bottle, you need to put the cap on and GENTLY shake the bottle for the syrup to dissolve properly in the bottle. Also, DO NOT PUT THE SYRUP IN BEFORE CARBONATING THE WATER or you will have a mess. The syrup dissovles quickly so I then poured the soda into my ice filled glass. Remember to open the bottle slowly if you just shook the bottle or you will make a mess. With the glass full, I tried the soda and yes, I had a carbonated beverage that I made at home. SUCCESS. The carbonation wasn't as strong as you'd get in sodas from the store, but it was good enough. Since I had 3 bottles, I made another soda, this time with the cola flavor. I did 4 CO2 injections this time instead of 3. The carbonation was better. The taste was that of a generic cola, not COKE or PEPSI and definitely not RC. I also have the root beer syrup and tried that and it tastes like rootbeer, imagine. The last flavor I tried was the citrus Bubly extract. I think I used 5 CO2 injections instead of 3 to make it extra bubbly. It tastes like soda water with citrus oil in it and no sweetner. You are not limited to using only the products offered by Soda Stream, you can use your own syrups and flavorings too. Once I emptied a bottle, I rinsed it out and filled it with water and carbonated it. Then I put the bottle in the fridge to keep chill. Sometimes I would put the syrup in before putting the bottle in the refridgerator; other times, I would just carbonate the water and put the bottle in the fridge. That way, I can decide later which flavor I want. If you don't plan to use the device much, you're better off buying soda water in bottles from the store. The initial cost is steep. I think I payed over $100 to start, which is the equilvalent in price to 25 2 liter bottles. Also, the CO2 cannisters are not cheap, but refilling them can cost from $2-$17 per cannister. I've not had to refill a cannister yet, but while on the Soda Stream website, I learned that you can do a bottle exchange at the larger stores like WalMart, Target and Best Buy. Or, you can request bottles from Soda Stream and send in the empties. One could go to a local business to get the bottles refilled. My recommendation is that one go through Soda Stream (and authorized dealers) and do it right. I did a bit of research and found that one can refill the cannister just by filling it with dry ice, which is frozen CO2. Overall, the Soda Stream delivers and is easy to use. Just be sure to be patient in carbonating the water and in pouring in the syrup. Also, since you're only using water with the Soda Stream, clean up is non existent, just wipe it down when it gets wet.

Creates carbonated water in a device thats half as wide as a coffee machine.
It's exacly as advertised. Super easy to setup. I was worried about some of the complaints on here, but it worked great. Had it setup in less than 5 minutes. If it doesnt work for you, it's either a dud or you didn't do it right. Take the wrapper and lid off the top of the co2, remove the back of the unit, lift the lever and set the co2 in, lower the lever (should lift the co2) and put the back on again. Add water to the wavy water line on the lidless bottle and push it up into the front part while swinging the bottom back ( bottom should be suspended! ) and its ready to carbonate. Hit the button 5-8 times ( they say 3-5 ). Take off, add juice to the filll line or 1/4tsp of bubly (strong flavor stuff). 3-5 pumps that it suggests was barely carbonated at 5, still experimenting but think 10 is too much. The bubly flavoring, didn't much like the blackberry, got a bit of chemical flavor. I'll have to experiment more to see if it's just me getting the ratios wrong or maybe having proplyn glycol as the first ingredient does it. The lime tastes like lime candies to me. These were just bonuses to me so if i end up not likeing them then it won't bother me. Straight lemon juice was good! I dont think you need more than a couple tablespoons, sort of a to taste thing I think. Oh lastly the manual has a long winded thing saying they own the co2 bottles and a patent and something about only they can refill them. Reminds me of the EOLA agreement you get when installing software except on a piece of paper and no accept button. Edit: Got the bib thing for my die dr pepper syrup! Seems 10 pumps of co2 gives it just enough. It's so weird how 6 pumps seem almost too sharp with water/juice, but 10 is ok with syrup and even at 12 it doesnt foam up a lot when pouring. Probably wont get the mileage out of the tanks as it advertises due to liking 10-12. Really, it's all a matter of taste, 5 may be perfect for some. Warning btw, it starts freezing the water and i dunno what making it so cold does to it so i go to 5 then slowly do the rest letting it not hiss so much before doing another pump.

Revamped Review: Unveiling the True Brilliance of the SodaStream Terra Sparkling Water Maker!
I wanted to update to my review because I initially encountered some issues with the SodaStream Terra sparkling water maker. At first, I wasnโt getting the desired level of carbonation, and I thought the machine wasnโt performing as expected. However, after some troubleshooting and reading through the user manual more carefully, I realized that I was using the machine incorrectly. Once I understood the proper techniques, my experience with the SodaStream Terra completely changed for the better. The key is to follow the instructions precisely and ensure that the water is cold before carbonating it. I also learned that gentle, short presses of the carbonation button work best for achieving the perfect level of fizziness. Now that Iโm using the SodaStream Terra correctly, I can confidently say that itโs an incredible appliance. The sparkling water it produces is top-notch, and I love being able to customize the carbonation level to my preference. It has become a beloved addition to my kitchen, and I appreciate the eco-friendly aspect even more now that Iโm reducing my plastic waste. It feels great to know that Iโm making a positive impact on the environment while enjoying my favorite sparkling water. The versatility of the SodaStream Terra is also impressive. I can add different flavors to my sparkling water, giving me the freedom to experiment and create a wide range of delicious beverages. It has certainly made staying hydrated a lot more enjoyable. In terms of design, the SodaStream Terra looks sleek and modern on my countertop. The compact size doesnโt take up much space, making it a perfect fit for my small kitchen. Since getting the SodaStream Terra, Iโve also noticed that Iโm saving money in the long run. Instead of buying expensive bottles of sparkling water, I can now create my own at a fraction of the cost. Overall, I highly recommend the SodaStream Terra to anyone who loves sparkling water or wants a more sustainable way to enjoy their beverages. Itโs a game-changer in the kitchen, and I couldnโt be happier with my purchase!

saves money
Absolutely love my SodaStream Terra bundle! Itโs so easy to use and makes fresh sparkling water in seconds. The bubbles are strong and refreshing, and I like being able to control the carbonation level. The extra CO2 cylinder is a huge bonus and makes the bundle a great value. Sleek design, simple setup, and already saving me money from buying canned sparkling water all the time!

Nice to have
So far, the sodastream has held up well. I would say that this has been worth having in our household, as itโs helped us save money by spending less on canned beverages, and it is nice to have to avoid having to run to the store last minute for some fun drinks. The CO2 replacement is available at our local grocery store, so getting new canisters hasnโt been a hassle either. My two complaints are: 1. The carbonation isnโt as crisp as Iโd like 2. The flavors are usually just okay I am usually pretty generous with pressing the button because I love a crispy soda, and it still never has as much crisp as Iโd like. They recommend 3-5 presses for one second each, and I usually go with 5 slightly longer presses. I read that the model with the lever may do a better job with carbonation, but I havenโt tried that to be able to compare, so if you like crispy drinks, maybe do some extra research. Iโve also enjoyed the bubly flavors, but the sodas tend to just be so-so. The sparkling water tastes just like Iโd expect of a canned sparkling water; however, the sodas are usually too sweet and taste more like artificial sweetener (even if theyโre not a sugar free version). They are not bad as a mixer, but Iโd rather have a name brand can or bottle of wild cherry Pepsi over one I made with my sodastream.

WORTH IT IF YOU DONT LIKE SUGARY SODA
Iโve been using the SodaStream Terra for a while now and itโs easily one of my favorite kitchen purchases. Setup was extremely simpleโno electricity, no complicated parts, and the quick-connect COโ system makes cylinder swaps fast and painless. Within minutes of opening the box, I had my first bottle of sparkling water. The carbonation level is very customizable. You can do light fizz or really strong carbonation depending on how many presses you give it. I mostly drink plain sparkling water, but the included Bubly drops are a nice bonus and taste clean without being overly sweet or artificial. I also really like the design. It looks modern, doesnโt take up much counter space, and feels sturdy. The bottles are dishwasher-safe, which is a huge plus and makes cleaning easy. The COโ cylinders last longer than I expected too, especially if youโre not over-carbonating every bottle. Cost-wise, itโs definitely saving me money compared to constantly buying cans or bottles of sparkling water, and it cuts down a lot on plastic waste. My only minor downside is that replacement COโ cylinders can be a bit pricey if you donโt do exchanges, but thatโs pretty standard for SodaStream. Overall, if you drink sparkling water regularly, this is 100% worth it. Convenient, well-built, and pays for itself over time. Highly recommend.

Perfect for the sparkling soda addict
The SodaStream Terra has been a lifesaver for me, both for convenience and cost. It takes up very little space, and a single canister lasted quite awhile. This bundle comes with a second canister which is still going strong now. With the two bottles and flavor samples, I can switch up flavors instead of having to commit to an entire 4/6/8/12-pack. Most importantly, this is very easy to use. Just pop the bottle onto the lever, then, depending on how much fizz you desire, press the pressure button 1-3 times. Once you have the desired fizz level, just add your flavoring. Sometimes, I just drink it plain. I highly recommend the Terra for anyone who likes sparkling sodas.

Great Sparkling Water Maker
I love this SodaStream bundle because I have everything. I love the feature that I can put as much CO2 as I want in my drink. Moreover, the machine doesn't have a plug, so I can carry it everywhere. The machine is lightweight and the perfect size. The appearance is simple and modern. The usage instructions are easy to follow. The machine has basic features, but it has more flexibility in making your drink. I would definitely recommend this Soda machine.
