Five Star - 6022b_ - Star San - 32 Ounce - High Foaming Sanitizer

Star San works great for sanitizing all of my brewing equipment. It is easy to mix, effective, and a little goes a long way, so the 32-ounce bottle lasts a long time. It has become an essential part of my homebrewing setup. Highly recommended.

Holy wow!! First off, this is an AMAZING product. If you are looking around for sanitizers, this is the one to get. In particular I was looking for a sanitizer for my ice machine. Sanitizing is the second step you should never forget with cleaning. If you own an ice machine, this is great stuff and it will protect you until the next cleaning cycle. Don’t let the size of the bottle itself fool you. This is crazy concentrated stuff. You MUST dilute it, that’s what the other cap on the other side is for. My ice machine makes 100lb per day of ice and it only required 1 teaspoon (yes!) of this stuff added to the water reservoir. You have to add it when water is already in there and the machine is off, only then do you start the cleaning cycle. I love how this cleaner isn’t so cost prohibitive. It foams like crazy and the sanitizer performs very well. If you own an ice machine you will need to run the cleaning cycle at least 3 times. At least I did in order to get the foam down and it’s pristine now. Throw out the first 2 batches of ice when it’s done. I hope this helps someone. Don’t forget, it’s a great product, foams a LOT and make sure you sure you use the right amount of solution. You’ve got a customer for life now.

Great product. I have purchased it several times before and I will continue to purchase it. I make Mead year-round and have never had an issue while using this product.

I've been using this to sanitize bottles and equipment for making and bottling mead. It's pretty simple to use at 1 oz per 5 gallons, and I've been able to make enough solution to fill my sink and let my equipment soak until I'm ready to use it. One thing I've learned is not to agitate the solution more than necessary because it can produce a lot of foam. This is especially noticeable with things like carboys, where I've had foam remain inside for 6+ hours. From what I understand, the remaining foam shouldn't be an issue when using the equipment, but seeing that much of it still makes me a little uncomfortable. My bigger complaint is actually the bottle. The plastic is somewhat flexible, almost like a much thicker version of a disposable water bottle rather than a rigid container. The smaller measuring chamber built into the bottle is a useful idea, but I haven't been able to remove its safety cap normally. When I try to push down and turn the cap, the bottle flexes enough that I can't get the safety mechanism to disengage properly. I'm also a little disappointed with how it was shipped. The listing includes a disclaimer about not being responsible for breakage during shipping, which I can understand to an extent, but mine arrived without anything inside the box to protect the bottle or keep it from moving around. Mine arrived intact, but better packaging would make me more confident ordering it again. The sanitizer itself has been easy to use and works well for my brewing equipment. Most of my complaints are with the container and shipping rather than the actual product, so overall I'm still happy with it.

デカい容器で漬け物をすることが多いのですが、殺菌作業がネックでした。 でもこれを使えばそんな手間なく仕込み器具類含め殺菌できます。 ちょっと濃いですが、浄水1Lにこれを2mlを良く溶かして噴霧器などに入れて使ってます。シュッシュして1分ほど置くだけ。水で流す必要無し(むしろ流してはダメ)。もちろん味や体に影響はありません。 生きてるうちに使い切れるかな...

Me enviaron un producto diferente al que pagué, aún en la nota de remisión se muestra el pago por el Star San y el recibido fue un Saniclean. Procederé con la devolución del producto, cuando esto se aclare modificare la evaluación.
