They have been customer friendly. I had a problem with the side tray and they immediately replaced it. The grey palette the table comes with is not glass but seems perfectly adequate. It does scratch, though, so be careful. I have not asked for a cup holder but I have rigged a recycled plastic oatmeal container that fits perfectly into the space. I put some thick rubber bands around it so that it does not slip out. I am able to adjust the height of them so sometimes I use it for wash water and sometimes I use it to hold my brushes. I have also used a tall ziplog container that also fits into the space. My other solution was to have tape (multiple layers) around an empty oatmeal plastic container. (see pictures). These have been handy brush holders. I have hesitated to put water or other solutions due to the weight.
