Review: Installation tips to keep you COOL! - When I put in my new grill gazebo I did not realize that its aluminum roof would gather heat during the day, making the inside pretty warm. I started researching outdoor fans and the iLiving was the best I found, either at the big box improvement stores, or online. This fan is terrific. I got the 14" and all three speeds are useful. The strongest is such a strong blast I normally use the middle setting. It comes with a long pull chain that is easily snipped to the size that works best for you. Let me answer some questions you may have: How long is the power cord? Six feet so you may need an extension like I did. For the best match, be sure you get a three plug round black cable in typical 14 gauge. I really like the inexpensive one from Woods also available on desertcart. It's a perfect match. Be sure you get an extension cord for outdoor use. What hardware is included? / How to attach the fan? There are two holes on the steel bracket that comes attached to the back of the fan. It's easy to install. I bought some nuts and bolts on my own that best fit the metal frame I was attaching it to. One hole is larger than the other so two different sizes are needed. Two healthy sized wood screws are included but I needed a nut and bolt for my use attaching to metal. Does it swivel? Yes, you decide if you prefer side to side or front to back. Because I needed to orient the included bracket horizontally, it swivels front to back for my use, or perpendicular to the bracket. (See my picture with fan attached to gazebo side.) if you need it to swivel in all directions, depending on your available space for hardware, you will need to pick up an additional bracket such as an L bracket. Is it noisy? Just the sound of the wind it makes! Really well built, solid and no rattles. Can it work on a timer? Absolutely! That's how I use mine, plugged into a pool/spa type of timer that lets you choice hours you wish it to be running. It also works fine with newer smart timers that work of phone APPs, etc.

**Q: what are the dimensions of the fan?**
A: The fan dimensions are of the actual blades,  not the cage. Add a couple inches to the final product size.

**Q: How strong is this fan? what is the cfm rating for it? (cubic feet per minute)**
A: I can’t give you the “cfm” rating—that would be for the manufacturer to say.  But I can tell you that we never move it above the low or medium positions because it will blow your socks off when it is on high!  We love thi fan—have it mounted on the corner of our roof eave, and it cools down most of the patio (which is about 14 x 14 feet).

**Q: Has anyone used these in horse stalls? I want to make sure they are safe for 24/7 use in dusty conditions. Is it powerful enough for a 12x16 stall?**
A: I’ve not used it in a horse stall but I run it 24/7 on my back patio and it has a switch that will automatically shut off the fan if it overheats. Haven’t had an issue yet and it’s been running 6 weeks straight...

**Q: does this fan come with a plug  or does it need to be hard wired?**
A: It comes with a plug and I love this fan  Great purchase!!!!

### ⭐ Ventilateur, inutile en été surchauffe, moteur arrêt fréquent

Ce ventilateur est étanche ( très bien c’est pour ça que je l’ai acheté ) et vu qu’il est étanche, il n’a pas d’aération sur le moteur qui fait tourner les hélices. Donc si la température extérieure est à plus de 30° le ventilateur s’arrête toutes les 10 minutes pour surchauffe de moteur, donc ventilateur inutile. Au niveau du bruit ce n’est vraiment pas silencieux, vitesse 1 ça va. vitesse deux et trois laisse tomber le carnage, tremblant avec de gros bruit Et en plus de ça, prise us et non européenne
