Tension over sharp edges is what kills ropes. This allows you to keep your rope from wearing out too quickly. The quality seems well built from sturdy material. I was able to fit two 10.5mm ropes with room to spare. I would suspect this could fit 2 13mm ropes. I did add a 5mm accessory cord to it to allow it to prusik to the line as I think that would be better than the little spring clip. The spring clip works but I could see it getting mangled up in time and being less effective.
