Q: Is there option to get one without anti slip top surface?

As of 2022, all Car Desk removable clipboards come without anti-slip surface and have no problems in direct sunlight.

Q: What is the exact product material, and its heat rating (e.g. if it is a plastic, please specify the chemical name)?

It is hard plastic with a non skid surface on the writing pad. Take it down out of direct sunlight in the warmer months as the non skid pad did warp on mine.

The main plastic body is Polypropylene. The anti-skid plastic is rubber..

Q: Is there any chance mine would melt, warp, crack or get sticky like some of the reviews mention?

No. As of January 2022, we have been shipping a new writing surface made from material that was tested and is not affected by direct sunlight.
