I bought these soaps because the UK is in autumn and going into winter so the wood note fragrances will complement the season. I started on the Cedar and Pine scent and I’m loving it. The lather is very good and provides a smooth slick feel that makes shaving very easy. I will definitely be buying this in the future and will be looking at other fragrances that will complement the coming seasons. The soaps lather easily with warm water on your brush. To stick the soap in my shaving bowl I just damp my finger under warm water and rub the base of the soap then push it into my shaving bowl and let it dry then it’s fixed in place until it’s totally used up which means I get no waste so a better value for money.

I've wet shaved for about 40 years - incidentally now use Harry's razors which last week and are great to use - last 10 years I've used Wilkinson Sword soap, but it was difficult to find and expensive on Amazon, so I tried these. Great: 1. A lot cheaper 2. Great foam. 3. Also easy shave. 4. Pleasant perfume (I've used one so far 5. Less plastic (reusing WS bowl, it stuck in on first day) What's not to like

I recently picked up the Viking Revolution Shaving Soap and overall, I’m pleasantly surprised—especially considering the price. The biggest highlight is the lather quality. With a decent brush and a bit of water, this soap builds a thick, creamy lather that gives good cushion and glide. It definitely helped me get a closer shave with less irritation compared to standard shaving foam.  The scent (I tried sandalwood) is pleasant and masculine without being overpowering, which makes it nice for everyday use. Also, the puck lasts quite a while, so it feels like good value for money.  It’s not perfect. The slickness is decent but not quite at the level of more premium shaving soaps, so experienced wet shavers might find it lacking. I also noticed my skin felt a little dry after shaving, which seems to be a common experience for some users. From Reddit: “Loved the shave… but my skin feels drier than a desert.”  Another minor issue is the soap itself—it’s a bit softer than expected, almost like a firm cream rather than a hard puck. For the price, this is a solid entry-level shaving soap. It performs well, smells good, and lasts a long time. While it may not compete with high-end artisan soaps, it’s a great option if you’re just getting into wet shaving or want something affordable that works. Would recommend for beginners and budget-conscious buyers.

I had bought this set based on a recommendation from a friend. I Have only used one of the bars so far. Produces an excellent lather. Scent isn't too strong. Which is good. Wasn't sure about the scent of them. they weren't as strong as I feared. And not as unpleasant as I expected either.

I found these to last a good while and give a nice rich lather. Each one has a very different scent and matched with a good blade gave a nice smooth shave.

The smell is great at the start but dissipates quickly. I prefer a stronger longer lasting fragrance and not quite a soapy as my normal buy.

I have to say I bought these thinking "You get what you pay for." I was wrong. I'm currently only using the Bay Rum, and I have to say I'm impressed by how long the scent lasts. I don't have a bowl for them, and they're not that deep (thick) anyway. I'd definitely use them again.
