Techniques of Jewelry Illustration & Color Rendering

This book is filled with knowledge for sure and techniques are good but trust me it's really just very very basic. So if you are a Beginner, please go and join any classes or course, atleast you will get proper guidance. And if you are a little on advance lavel, you will not find it that helpful at all. Definitely, not worth the price. You can just have it in your library as a classic piece.

Solo per quanto riguarda la consegna, che all'inizio della transazione mi era stata assicurata entro il 27 Dicembre, si è verificato un disguido: nonostante avessi comunicato di essere assente dal 28/12 per qualche giorno (e mi fosse stata data di nuovo assicurazione di consegna) il corriere è venuto proprio il 28, per cui al mio ritorno ho trovato l'avviso. Ho trovato comunque il volume perfetto e ben imballato dal venditore. Ritengo quindi che la carenza sia nel meccanismo di spedizione

I first 'met' this book as a jewellery student learning how to design and render my ideas. Now, at last, I have my very own copy, complete with the five templates. It's a 'must have' for anyone who has to produce drawings of jewellery designs for clients or for jewellers to work from. In my (limited) experience, clients at least often have great difficulty in visualising a finished piece from a freehand drawing - but a detailed rendering using the techniques and methods provided in this book offer an image that is as good as a photo of the finished piece, and so they can really 'see' how it will look.Because drawings can be made precisely to scale, a maker can work directly from the drawing to make an accurately sized piece.The excercises are clearly laid out, the techniques explained simply and precisely and, whilst the major focus is on rings, the concepts can be applied to every other form of body adornment.Quite apart from all that - it's a beautiful, beautiful book to have.

I love the book, it is packed with great information. However- Amazon states that not all copies of this book sold by different sellers may have the stencils that this book includes (and requires to actually learn from it) but it will be stated in the item description if the stencils are not included. I ordered from this seller because it did not exclude the stencils. I did not get the stencils. Now I am 2 chapters in and before I can start on any designing I have to start with basic drawings using the stencils. I cannot order the stencils he designed anywhere without also purchasing the book. There is no way to contact the shop aside from leaving a review, so here I am. I don't want to return the book, I just want the stencils to be sent to me.

This is a must-have book for whoever interested in learning jewelry color rendering. The book is full of step-by-step demonstrations, easy to understand especially for beginners. I used to have a copy of it but it was damaged in an accident (domestic flooding). Fortunately I can re-order one and this one, I am keeping it safe.

Book came without the templates! Basically you need those templates to do the work in the book. So if you are buying this book, make sure yours comes together. Some come with and some not. They both cost the same! I believe people are stealing them and selling on amazon separately!
