The lights are incredible. Plug in and go. 5000 is very bright will go lower for a smaller room.

They are not universal to reg flor fixtures, as advertise. not even close. I'm having to purchase fixtures to fit the bulbs now.

I ordered these as a replacement for really old (1983) florescent kitchen bulbs. They arrived in a very timely way (2 days). Four bulbs are packed in a box. Took out 2 old 40w florescent bulbs, replaced them with the Thinklux bulbs, turned on the light switch, and immediate light. Bright, clear, and works with the old magnetic ballast system. Excellent! I plan to buy four more plus four smaller ones for the corner. The kitchen is bright and all is good.Update: I bought another four bulb set and installed them with no problems. Kitchen is bright, and there was no need to replace the older corner florescent bulbs. This was exactly the solution I was looking for: getting updated great kitchen light without rewiring or replacing the old magnetic ballasts.

Lights cycle on and off every few minutes.

I used these to replace F40T12's in four cheap Lights of America two tube fixtures. They had instant start electronic ballasts with choke coils. The lamps worked fine in seven of the eight positions. The eighth one probably has a bad ballast (not the fault of the lamp). They are nice and bright. No need to rewire the fixtures.

Replacing T12 fluorescent tubes with these LED retrofits cannot be easier. I was hesitant to try these in a 21-year-old magnetic ballasted fixture, but the worrying was for naught. From removing the fixture cover to replacing the cover after the retrofit took about 3 minutes. The LED tubes lit immediately, with full brightness, and will use half the energy while outputting more light. In the 4-pack, the price was reasonable, so I took a shot and came out a winner.
