It need to be 650 -750 above the hob **Q: I can't see where it says what kind of filters these take?** A: If you aren't ducting the unit outside then you should use CF04 carbon filters. The hood comes with a set of these and the manufacturer recommends they are replaced about every 4 months. The downside: a little bit too heavy for a basic extractor. And its suction area is far too small, so we have to mount it slightly high. ———— Review after 1 month: it works well, looks really nice, and quite energy efficient. It has 4 gears. Hope it’s durable. It’s not as effective as my previous one since it’s sickroom area seems a bit too mall. So far I stick to my 4 star rating, and hope to give honest feedbacks.
