I don’t want to know what’s in this stuff but it’s incredible. It’s almost instantaneous, like magic. I followed directions after applying the spray, making sure to wipe things down with water to neutralize the spray using a very damp microcloth followed by drying with another cloth. My BRASS pieces, lamps and table bases, look like new. It’s been a week and shine/color are still perfect. As for cleaning COPPER (cooking pots and lids) it does a great job and again is almost instantaneous but I did need to use my Barkeepers Friend Pot and Pans cleanser to really remove spots. Yet, the cleaning time was drastically reduced. It’s the greatest product for cleaning brass/copper since sliced bread. Something important to note: MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN A VENTILATED AREA, either outside or by an open window/door, and WEAR GLOVES. Otherwise, this stuff is awesome!

It's quite effective, spray and the tarnish just runs off. Rinse. Dry.

The produce leaked during shipping and the sprayer didn’t work. However the product worked well. I just used another sprayer from a Windex bottle I had just finished.

This is the worst such product I have ever purchased for my copper bathtub. It arrived well sealed in shrink wrap to avoid leaking during shipping. However, when you try to spray it on the tub, it dribbles and leaks from the cap onto the hand holding the bottle and drips onto areas of the tub you don't want treated. This item does remove the lacquer coating where drops fall, so now I have unsightly drip drop spots on my copper tub. The product which actually reached the oxidized areas I was treating inside the tub did not eliminate the oxidation of the metal. After following the instructions to spray and rinse with warm water, the aqua color of oxidized copper remained largely the same. So the polish quality is awful because this is not a polish and should not be used as polish. It does not work easily and is extremely caustic for skin and eyes dripping all over the place and spraying erratically. I had to wash it off my hands well after and will never use this terrible product again. It left orange spots on the outside of my tub where it dripped out from the cap on the outside of my tub which was did not have any oxidation and I don't even know how to get rid of those. Beware and do not buy this. I have no idea how to fix the mottled mess this product did to the outside of my copper tub which was pristine before the drops dripped on it. I guess the value for money is outrageously expensive if you have to refinish and re-lacquer the tub because the spray and bottle quality are junk along with the caustic tarnish remover inside. I will now only use soap and/or vinegar and then coat with plain wax to remove tarnish from the inside of my tub.

Flitz was rate #3 in ratings. Brasso was rated #9. I am going back to Brasso. A little firm rubbing with Brasso seems to produce a cleaner result. Price difference was not worth it.

I can only wish I had taken before and after pictures of the transformation that just took place when I used this product on a heavily tarnished copper bowl so I could truly do justice to how amazing it is. I didn't expect it to work, so didn't expect to be writing a review, but I am so astounded by how well it worked, that I am hoping the end result will be enough to convince you. I hate cleaning and polishing metal products. In fact, this bowl was so tarnished, and my previous attempts to clean it have gone so poorly, that I was seriously considering just throwing it out. I am having my kitchen redone and I didn't want something so hideous in the new kitchen, but in a last ditch effort to save it, I ordered this product. I read mixed reviews and mention of the smell being overpowering, so I was not too enthusiastic about it, but I just sprayed it on and the bowl instantly became clean. No scrubbing, no overpowering smell, just clean. So easy, so fast, within a minute, the bowl was saved. There are a couple areas with pitting that didn't come clean, but overall, it was just stunning results. Definitely recommend this product.

This is tarnish remover not a polish as long as you realize that it works great. I've tried this product on a couple of badly tarnished items. First I had a pair of brass lamps that have been on the front of my garage for 16 years(see before photo). I tried polishing them a couple of times but it made no real difference. Before I replaced them I gave this stuff a try. As soon as I sprayed this on one of them the grim and tarnish started dripping off. The tarnish was so bad (like a hundred year old penny) I had already decided to use a tooth brush on it but I spent less than two minutes with the brush and then rinsed it off. It looked like a slightly tarnished penny but it was supposed to be brass not copper (see photo step one). Before I tossed it I tried a little bit of metal polish on the lamp, now that the tarnish was removed, and it polished up like new brass (see finished photo). Before I did the second one (the one I took the photos of) I tried the metal polish on the lamp before the spray, just to make sure it was the spray that did the job, and the polish couldn't cut through the tarnish so the spray did make the difference. I also tried it on my front door handle with the same results where the handle was tarnished but it wouldn't blend well with the area that wasn't tarnished. On closer inspection I noticed the handle had a plastic coating that hadn't worn off in some places (untarnished areas). This added another step as I had to use 1000 grit wet/dry sand paper to remove the plastic film then when I polished it the whole thing looked like new.

Cleans properly but Shine lasts for 2-3 days only. Life of cleaning with regular n cheap home made products is much more than this costly chemical

The product was as described, however after spraying the item sprayed had to be helped along with a hard bristol brush. Overall, great product which can be used with a minimal of fuss. Fantastic delivery time. Good job.

Fantastic brass cleaner easily, will be buying another one. Never has our candlesticks and fire irons looked this good.

Muy satisfecho con el resultado del producto. Después de la aplicación del producto sobre el latón, se espera de 2 a 5 minutos y se pasa por un chorro de agua, yo lo hice dejando a bajo un recipiente y después sumergí nuevamente el latón agitando el recipiente. El latón sale como teñido de rojo como si el producto no hubiera hecho su trabajo. Finalmente lo talle enérgicamente con un trapo de micro fibra y el latón recupero su brillo original con algunas pequeñas imperfecciones. Muestro en las fotos el estado original y después de haber pulido con el trapo el acabado brillante muy satisfactorio
