Yes it does very well. It also separates from the other towel in the stack to make grabbing on easier.

How can you customize these (like in the photo)? Can you print directly on them?

I'm not sure if you can print on them. They are regular wrapping paper.

Can you bake with these like using parchment paper?

Haven't tried it like that but it is more of a waxed paper...I use it for crafting.
