dropps products have been highly effective since I discovered them over a decade ago
I've been using this brand since they spent some time in Costco, and have been entirely satisfied with the performance. I have hard water and a very large machine so I use 2 dropps per load, but it is extremely effective and doesn't lose effectiveness with cold water, though I prefer to generally use warm water... The liquid state of detergent ensures that there are no detergent spots from powder piles. I find that the greases and dirts i encounter as a trucker get effectively cleaned in a single wash. combined with this brand's softener offering my clothes aren't harsh from the hard water. the biological based formula is effective and a comfort level for my septic system.

Works just as good as other detergents
I was hesitant to try this product. I've been using Tide, and Arm and Hammer, for our clothes for years. They've been my go to due to body odor, as well as our dog sleeping in our bed every night. Our laundry gets pretty dirty and stinky, so I was hesitant to change. My reason for the change though was due to the 0 waste part. I want to be more environmentally friendly. Upon opening this product I was amazed at the size. They are so small. I'm used to dumping a 1/2 cup or full cup of liquid detergent into the wash. So I was unsure how well 1 pod would work for a large load. But I did it anyway, dropped only one pod into my top load washer, followed by my clothes overtop as per instructions. At the end of the cycle came out clean clothes. There was no scent, which I prefer. And I didn't feel like there was any leftover detergent on the clothes like there was with the liquid detergent. Now, I'll admit for extra stinky loads I'll add a small amount of oxy clean (from the box, NOT the plastic container, in order to remain environmentally friendly). I may even switch to regular baking soda. Again, this is for the extra stinky clothes. I've always used these additives, even with Tide. I just feel it helps give your detergent a bit of a boost to kill odors. Overall, I love our new Dropps detergent! Though next time I'll be ordering directly from the Dropps website because Amazon loves to package plastic when shipping almost everything. Amazon will even add plastic if it's a rubber dish mat (I kid you not, Amazon is horrible at adding plastic to EVERYTHING!) So at least ordering from Dropps themselves I won't be getting additional plastic, thankfully.

These do a good job
We have four dogs and my husband is a mechanic, so detergents get really tested at our house. I like these pods for several reasons: 1) I have so much less guilt regarding the amount of plastic I throw away (we can't recycle here) as these come in a cardboard container and there is no waste. 2) They don't leak and they don't and stick together. 3) They do a great job cleaning our laundry. That's what I need: a great job. Neither of us has sensitive skin, so I can't comment on that aspect. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is the scent. It's not that it's bad. It's sort of a sharp herbal aroma. I wouldn't say it's unpleasant at all, just not the kind of thing that makes you want to stick your face in your clean sheets and towels and sniff. It doesn't linger after the clothes come out of the dryer, though. There's no residual odor. I can only smell it when I'm unloading them from the washing machine. If having your laundry smell flowery or perfumey is a requirement for you, you might not be happy. Otherwise, I recommend these.

Stronger and gross smelling, returning, very disappointing
I started using dropps a year ago when my last detergent start causing issues. I tend to use unscented, but had luck with the lavender not being too strong of an odor or causing skin issues. Without notice, the formula changed. Just by looking at the difference between the pods, the new one is darker. We noticed when the box was opened that the smell was different. I have serious allergies with scents and very sensitive skin and my daughter's skin is pretty sensitive. It's infuriating that they changed the formula. I have to strip all of the towles, blankets and clothes that were washed in this. I have to sanitize my washer and dryer to rid of residues that will continue to cause skin irritates. The scent makes me sick. Gives me a headache, makes me nauseous. My skin is irritated by the new formula. The scent doesn't even smell good. It smells like enzyme spray you use to clean cat pee. It's gross. I'm a vet tech, very familiar with this smell. I have a subscription, for some reason they refused to send me a replacement of sensitive skin and unscented in exchange for this order. They are having me return it and pay full price for a new scent that won't be here until Sept 27-Oct 3. I ordered last week......... again, it's a subscription, I had week of the old formula left and that's it. So, now I have to purchase a local detergent to get us through. Really disappointed in amazon and the customer service choices in fixes this issue. Especially when I came to leave a review and see all the current 1 stars are from the same time I ordered this detergent. Really disappointed in Dropps for changing their products and packaging without the heads up. This has caused me serious discomfort and is making me strip everything that has been washed and sanitize my machines. The new box sucks, it's noy easy like the old box, so I am keeping the old box to refill.

Dropps vs Blueland - Clear Winner
I've tried both Dropps and Blueland cleaner... Dropps is a clear winner for me. Dropps is one of the best cleaners out there. I have a 3 year old and 4 month old, and it gets EVERYTHING out the first time. Blueland I would have to rewash a minimum of twice. It just didn't dissolve like it was supposed to. I ended up going back to Dropps. Save your time and get the 120 pods or subscribe.
