The opening and platform of the cabinet will accommodate sewing machines that are no larger than 12-9-16" front to back, 18-7/8" wide, and 13-1/8" tall. Q: Has the cabinet had any problems with the air lifts

I have not had any issues in the 6 or so months I’ve had it.

Q: Do you see your sewing machine under the cabinet when the cabinet is closed?

The sewing machine does show when the cabinet is closed, but the manufacturers have thoughtfully included instructions to see a curtain to block view of the machine. Just to note, the assembly instructions were not difficult to follow, and I am very pleased with the quality and construction of the unit. The hardware is surprisingly nice, and the drawers are terrific! I highly recommend this purchase.

Q: Can this be assembled with drawers on either left or right?

Not easily or maybe at all, everything is pre-drilled and set up for as you see it.
