Kuhn Rikon Potato & Vegetable Peeler Set, Steel Blades, Grey & White, 2 Pcs

I bought my first set of these after looking around to find what the professionals use for the job; these seemed to be very popular. I wasn't disappointed. They're a brilliant peeler that does the job quickly and well. But despite the plastic and price, they're a serious tool - the blades are VERY sharp, as I discovered the first time I peeled towards my spare hand instead of away from it, and took a thin shaving off the side of one of my fingers. I changed my technique very quickly after that. They don't last for ever. If not cleaned and dried carefully, the blades will rust over time (they're especially unhappy with being put through our dishwash). And we somehow seem to manage to throw them away accidentally from time to time as well. But at a couple of quid per unit, replacing them isn't exactly going to break the bank. I wouldn't be without them. (On my fourth or fifth set. Will undoubtedly order more in the future.)

Bought this peeler a year ago and based on other reviews, it seems like it’s lasted me a lot longer than it has other people. But the inevitable has happened and it’s now too rusty to continue to use so will need to buy another one. A great peeler, sharp and easy to handle. Just unfortunate that I couldn’t keep it rust free for longer than a year.

The peeler blades on these rust not matter how carefully they are washed. All 3 blades have rusted within 6 weeks of purchase. Unfortunately I have missed the return's window. Complete waste of money. The image I have uploaded is the last blade after one use and hand wash.

I've tried many peelers of different styles over the years but never found one I preferred to this model. I've had mine for 10 years plus and swapped blades in from several other less ergonomic peelers (seems to be a fairly standard blade size). If I could just buy spare Kuhn Rikon blades I would do so. This time I bought the pack of 3 to equip my kids with them too. Using the brand new peeler was a pleasure - and yes, I do need to get out more! You can also use it for making vegetable ribbons for stir fry etc. Don't waste your money on expensive or fancier looking ones, this is the simplest and best.

About to order these for the third time. They’ve lasted 4-7 years on previous experience. I just noticed my last remaining is rusty (but still peeling well). If I am cooking at friends/family this is something I always take with me. Care needed - they are sharp.

Didn't use it yet but it's sharp and the price was also good

I saw these on America's Test Kitchen, a great cooking show that tests out kitchen tools among other things. The shocker is that they are so low-cost, and my favorite peeler. I just used one on a fragile-skinned cucumber, and it was like a hot knife through butter! So easy, very little effort to peel very well. Little cucumber got caught in the device, only the peel! The material cleaned well in the dishwasher. I love the way it fit in the palm of my hand, perfect size! The material is durable, yet light and user friendly. I'm buying them for my adult children!

It went rusty. I can buy stainless steel peelers at the 100 yen shop.

The blade rusted in couple of days of using. It's not good quality

Very reliable, small but not uncomfortable, inexpensive, and cuts well. I wouldn't get other ones again, these just work. Would recommend!
