Better Than Red Heat Bulb
Super bright and provide some heat to cold room. Maybe too bright for small rooms.

Worked perfectly in my bathroom. Hangs down a little low. Very bright.
It was actually quite difficult to find a heat bulb rated for humid environments. I looked at at least a dozen and they all very emphatically said not to use them in the presence of moisture. This one is specifically made for bathroom use. Even shows an image of its use in a bathroom on the box itself. It hangs down a little lower (it's taller overall) than my previous bulb. It's not a problem, just a notable difference from the pervious bulb.

terrific heat output
Use THIS if you hate a cold bathroom! And don't turn on that exhaust fan All Winter! Way more heat output than the Philips 100 watt heavy duty that's the same price. really bright too, almost too bright but i have on a dimmer to keep my bathroom warm in the winter and to zap the steam instead of turning on the fan which sucks out all the warmth.

Nice hot light

It's bright & gives a nice comfortable level of heat I can leave on for an hr with no issue.
I bought this in the overhead can receptacle in my bathroom. It really warms the bathroom nicely without making it too hot too fast. It's also bright, but at a comfortable. It doesn't hurt my eyes. Also I can leave this on for hours at a time when it's cold here and it keeps my bathroom comfortable, not too toasty warm, but warm. I can also leave it on while I'm in the bathroom applying makeup and it's not uncomfortable as a higher wattage bulb would create too much heat to stay in the bathroom to apply makeup.If for health purposes you wanted it hotter, get a bulb with more wattage. I'm quite sensitive to heat and tend to be chilly, so the bulb raises the heat to comfortable level in my small bathroom.

Excellent infrared heat lamp - better than GE
I bought this bulb for use in a Broan heat lamp/fan combo. It saw heavy daily use for almost 3 years before it burned out. Not bad considering how much I used it in humid conditions.I tried to replace it with an equivalent GE BR40 heat lamp purchased from Walmart, and I was left disappointed. The GE bulb is about an inch shorter than the Philips and sat inside my fan unit and thus put out less light. The Philips bulbs sticks past the edge of the fan cover perfectly and shines all it's light output into the room. Also, the Philips bulb is made of seemingly thicker glass and weighs 4.2 ounces (vs the GE at 3.2 ounces). Thumbs up, Philips.FYI, the Philips bulb I got three years ago was made in Korea.

It's was suppose to be a phillps bulb but it will do. SATCO is what was delivered. It fits so I will keep.Why did you pick this product vs others?:I really didn't know what watts the bulb was to be but it works. I ordered the phillips heat lamp for my ceiling.
