Great value and a nice product. The switch mechanism can be a little fussy. You have to be patient on occasion for it to take the temperature you require and also to keep temperature pre use. But. look good and boils very quickly!

This was fine to start with However now it boils on it's own accord... And sometimes won't boil at all... Have to turn it off at the socket now.. it has a mind of its own

Bought as a temporary kettle. It’s one of the cheaper variable temperature Kettles, and it shows. it feels light and plastic, and the design of it is too. The lid needs to be completely removed, rather than being a flip-top, but that’s just down to your preference. But it does what you expect. The dial, that sets the temperature, is easy to use. Fill the kettle with water, rotate the dial and press the same dial to heat. The is an display on the side that shows the temperature. I’m not sure I’d like this an everyday kettle, but it’s good enough for my purpose. It seems smaller, the thermostats is dubious (but good enough) but it doesn’t hold the heat as my old kettle did. ….only time will say if it lasts long enough to be awarded an extra star… A WEEK LATER: it can be a pain to turn on. the switch doesn’t always work. You select the temperature, and press it, but nothing… repeat several times until it starts heating. MONTH LATER: I went away for a few days, and it no longer works. All of the electrics continue to work, but the kettle never heats (at all). Will be returning and looking for another…

Replacement kettle after the previous one was no longer working after few yrs. Purchased exactly same model as had been very pleased with the efficiency and look of kettle !!! Now in use no issues working great looks more expensive and doesn't take up much work surface. Slim modern look , metal interior, boils quickly. More than happy with kettle at a great price !

Was a great kettle to start with, the variable heat control worked well, but the black coating started peeling after 6 months, and now the heating element has gone after 18 months so it is in the bin, it also rusted at the top of the handle and is hard to clean as seen by the pic and the little filter that goes on the inside of the spout never fitted, I would not buy again

Much quicker than normal plus keeps warm for ages, very pleased

This kettle does have reduced plastic in contact with the water (there is some plastic near the lid mechanism). However it often has failed to switch off when boiled - or sometimes it does switch off and turns back on again if left on the base (as the switch mechanism doesn’t fully turn off) The lid mechanism is also starting to fail and it’s not even a year old! Steam also seeps out of the lid and switch mechanism. …so all in all, it does have much less plastic in contact with the water than most kettles, but it’s not a very safe kettle!

Looks fantastic and high quality, but there are two main problems: - quite often it pauses well before boiling for about 3 minutes, after which it will continue to boil the water. - unlike the last kettle (russell hobbs with same wattage) we had there is massive limescale buildup which is about impossible to remove. Seems to be due to how the heating element is build in to the bottom.
