This is the best battery powered stick vacuum I have owned. The previous ones usually had a few good points but also substantial flaws. This Shark Vertex Pro has all of the good point, few flaws, while having better suction than any of those I have used in the past. It has enough battery power to do all of the hard surfaces in my home. (I use a Roomba in the three bedrooms with wall-to-wall carpeting.) I electronically switches from hard surface to carpet mode for our area rugs so you don't need to use or attach a separate carpet head. Like some vacuums it has a light on its head to help see bits on the floor and does a great job on stray kitty litter or pet hair with a single pass. I also appreciate that the battery is replaceable. (I had to toss one previous vacuum after 2 years because its battery was not replaceable.) In addition, if you have a larger home you could buy a second battery to keep plugged into the charger too swap in when the first runs out of charge. It has a good size dirt receptacle which is easy to empty. The only nit is that it is pretty top heavy and therefore is not very stable standing by itself unless you push a button to fold the top half down. The upside of this is that it is then more compact and easy to store out of the way.

When used within its intended scope — quick, regular maintenance in smaller living spaces — it performs brilliantly. **Minor notes (not complaints):** - Additional attachments are available but must be purchased separately. I ordered a crevice tool and upholstery brush afterward and now consider the setup complete. - As with any cordless model, long-term battery health is a valid question. My previous vacuum lasted over 10 years, so I’m curious how this lithium-ion battery will hold up over time. So far, though, runtime and power remain strong. Overall, this is one of the best cleaning purchases I’ve made for apartment living. It’s powerful enough for daily use, yet small and convenient enough that I actually enjoy pulling it out. Highly recommended for anyone with a small to medium apartment or home (especially with mostly hard floors). If you have a larger house or need heavy-duty deep cleaning on wall-to-wall carpet frequently, a corded model might be the better choice — but for compact, cordless convenience, this vacuum is outstanding.

UPDATE 1-5-24 Now this stupid thing leaves STREAKS of hair. In have 4 different styles of carpet and it does it on all of them! Cleaned and replaced filters did not help. VERY DISAPPOINTING! ORIGINAL I would give this ONE star due to all the crap I have had to go through but, over all, the vacuum is pretty good. I don't like giving reviews like this but this was, quite literally, one of the worst experiences I have had with a product on amazon AND amazon's return process. To start, this vacuum as listed on Amazon (Shark IZ662H Vertex Pro Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum with IQ Display, DuoClean PowerFins & MultiFLEX, Includes Crevice Tool, Pet Multi-Tool & Anti-Allergen Dusting Brush, 60min Runtime, Black/Red) DOES NOT COME WITH ALL ATTACHMENTS! Missing are the PET MULTI-TOOL and the ANTI-ALLERGEN DUSTING BRUSH! What does that mean over all? Well to buy them directly from shark or here on amazon it will cost you 50 ish dollars to get them. One might think, since the item is literally advertised as having the attachments and they are not given you could call support, tell them the issue, and get it resolved. Calling support did NOTHING! I was told by sharkninja to return this one and buy another as it must have been a mistake. I did that. IT WAS NOT A MISTAKE! Two IDENTICAL orders and both have the attachments missing. To top it all off the second one I bought DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A BATTERY WITH IT! So, I called them AGAIN and asked WHAT was going on. Their response? Buy another product. When I asked for clarification, such as did they mean a more expensive one, the representative boldly stated that I should buy a product from ANOTHER COMPANY. Okay. Will do! Now amazon has my money for 30 days and who knows what the situation will be when that gets resolved. The vacuum itself is pretty good. The no tangle roller works well, the hardwood roller eats practically everything. The suction is fairly good but did get clogged easier that I thought it should. Battery life is basically as advertised. About on hour on eco mode, 40ish minutes on level two and about 10-12 minutes on level 3. If not for the literal bait and switch of this product, as well as receiving a second unit WITH NO BATTERY, I would give the vacuum itself a 4.5. Buyer beware.

I didn't expect this stick vacuum to be as strong as a good upright or canister vacuum, and honestly it is not. It is however a very good stick vacuum that has a lot of very nice features. It works well on for our daily messes that our golden retriever puppy makes, including her shedding hair. It appeared to be doing a good job on the pine needles from the Christmas tree too, but they clogged it up pretty quickly. To unclog it you need to turn 3 screws a half a turn and remove the brush. The screws however are a plastic material and not metal, which makes me wonder about durability. I would have also appreciated a more complete printed manual as opposed to a quick start-up guide with a QR code to print it myself. Otherwise, this is a handy vacuum that quickly converts to a hand-held for steps and furniture. Note however that regardless of the product description, it only comes with the crevice tool. It does NOT come with the other 2 attachments. Amazon should correct this in the description. So far it’s effective and handy. I just hope it holds up well.

Updated review: I initially gave this product 2 stars because of issues discussed below. I later contacted customer service. They spent a great deal of time going over all the issues and trying to solve the problems with the vacuum. In the end they are sending me a new unit! I changed by rating to 5 stars based on the customer service I received. I am very pleased with Sharks response and I hope the new vacuum lasts a bit longer. I have had this vacuum for a little over a year. It is used about once a week to vacuum up crumbs in the kitchen. In that time it worked very well. This machine folds in half for storage by pressing a lever. To vacuum, the lever snaps into place to hold the handle straight. Last week the folding handle refused to lock in the upright position, which made it nearly impossible to use. It also now makes a loud growling sound while vacuuming and it tends to scatter crumbs instead of sucking them up into the canister. After close examination, I discovered that a tiny plastic part on the handle had cracked, which allowed the handle to become misaligned. I tried to hold it in place and unfold the machine. This worked once, but when I folded the machine for storage the plastic piece broke off entirely. The only way to use it now is as a hand-held without the floor attachment. All the Sharks seem to have this bendy handle as a "feature," but I think it may be a weak point.

UPDATE- I called Shark. The multi angle dusting tool has been discontinued. So they are sending me a dusting tool but only does one angle. The multi use animal tool isn't available. So she said they will have to escalate the process and look in the back office. Whatever that means, but it could take up to 2-4 weeks. This is very frustrating. All they can do is apologize about it. You'd think they'd offer some sort of refund. Even $30 off considering I ordered this specific model FOR the attachments. Smh. What's weird is they've updated their box that only shows it comes with the crevice too. I was confused when I bought it but went back and confirmed the ad shows it coming with 3 tools. I'm very upset that it came without the attachments. Even the box only shows one attachment. The crevice tool. I bought this for the dust and furniture tool. Amazon can't help me. So I'll have to contact Shark. Overall the vacuum works great. Suction is good and maneuvering is easy. This isn't a vacuum the whole house tool. It's really for a quick daily cleanup since the battery doesn't last long. That's why I got it but a warning for others who want to purchase as their main vacuum. I have a large dyson ball animal 3 for that. It's just a pain to pull it out for a quick pickup. If I didn't buy this during Amazon prime, I would not have bought it. It's not worth the money full price.

TL;DR: Decent cordless vacuum, but hinge on a critical "accessory" part is weak, breaks, and you will have to fight with Shark to honor their 5 year limited warranty. Bought this vacuum as a lightweight, secondary vacuum back in August of 2022. Works fine for most jobs, including on carpet, hardwood, or tile, but the battery life will allows you to only do about a floor at time before you need to recharge. Our major problem we have with it, however, is that the hinge on the foldable wand (one of its key features and why we chose it) broke within 6 months of us using it and prevented us from folding and unfolding the wand. It was definitely NOT after excessive use or anything wrong on our part. There are also multiple reviews and other pictures showing the same problem, so it should be a known problem to Shark. I registered the vacuum and called up the warranty service to request them to fix it. Initially the Shark customer service agent refused to replace it and said we'd have to buy our own part again off their website. Apparently the warranty only covers the vacuum unit itself and the head, not all the other "accessory" parts that came with it when we bought it from them. When I proceeded to read off all the fine print of the 5 year limited warranty to her, detailing that it wasn't due to any fault of our own, was a piece that requires maintenance, was not a product of usual wear and tear, etc., she finally agreed to "make an exception" to replace the wand. We still have to pay the $9 shipping for it but at least that's a third of the price they charge for a replacement part online. I took what I could get since the vacuum is severely limited without using the foldable wand and is pretty crucial to have if you plan to use it for more than just cleaning things like stairs or nooks and crannies. Like a previous reviewer stated, I too think its odd Shark has to be forced to make "exceptions" to replace faulty products of their own in order to use the whole vacuum as intended and marketed. 4/5 vacuum for performance 2/5 for product reliability 2/5 for Shark customer service

My daughter brought her cordless Shark over one day to help out and I fell in love. This model was on sale that particular day, so I took it as a sign and bought it. I cannot tell you how much fun vacuuming has become without a cord or a heavy canister to pull around. We have a 150 pound New Foundland/Lab/Retriever mix, and he sheds year round, so vacuuming is a daily thing. This has made it so much easier to keep his hair out of everything. It moves seamlessly from our hardwood floors to tile to our throw rugs. The hardwood floor setting let's you vacuum smaller rugs without them getting sucked up into the vacuum cleaner. The handle also collapses so that you can vacuum all the way under couches and chairs and whatnot. While the picture shows several attachments, ours only came with the crevice attachment, but we have managed quite well with that. I feel like the battery life is very good, but it all depends on the settings you use. If you want more suction, it's gonna cost you some battery. But it quite clearly displays the battery life remaining, so you always know what you're working with. And it's nice that you can detach the battery to charge it OR charge it on the vacuum cleaner. I love this machine so much!

La aspiradora como tal es una excelente compra. La duración de la batería a toda potencia es de 20 min aproximadamente; en el nivel intermedio la batería dura 50 minutos aproximadamente (cosa que es normal en estos dispositivos inalámbricos). Tengo dos perros de pelo largo y la aspiradora puede con eso, polvo, tierra y demás, usarla y guardarla es bastante sencillo. La única queja que puedo poner es que en la publicación en la primer imagen podemos ver la aspiradora y 4 aditamentos para diferentes modos de limpieza (la base de los rodillos, "Crevice tool", "Anti-Allergen Dustin Brush" y "Pet Multi-Tool"), el paquete que me enviaron solamente incluía la base de los rodillos y el Crevice tool.

Por segunda vez consecutivo voy a regresarlo, No llegaron los accesorios de la aspiradora y la caja venía bien cerrada. La publicación está mal promete accesorios que no tiene la aspiradora.

Solid construction, powerful and versatile. Easy to use. Removes a lot of material with ease, battery life allows large areas to be cleaned. This is a good product.

I’ve been using the Shark Vertex Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum (model IZ662H) for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s a very powerful and efficient vacuum.
