Good But, Easy to use
The ramp kit arrived early, it was well packaged with care taken to keep parts from scratching each other. The instructions were very clea and easy to follow. The hardware itself was of very high quality. If I had one recommendation, it wopuld be to include some info about how to make the ramps better able to stay in place / not slide around through the use of abrasive tape or other materials.

Overall a good product but instructions are incorrect on suggested drill bit.
The product seems well made, it is made of thick extruded aluminum and simple enough to attach to boards that you supply. Only thing I would suggest is that Iron Forge correct the instruction sheet which suggests using a 5/8" drill bit. This is obviously a typo bad translation (the product is made in China) because you need to use a 5/16" drill bit!Haven't decided what length boards I will use. Iron Forge suggests measuring the height of your tailgate when down and multiplying by 4. I think it depends on what you plan to push up and down these ramps. For something big and heavy like a motorcycle or riding lawnmower this might make sense. I have a 4x4 Ford f150 that has not been raised so my tailgate is at 32"; that would mean I would need a 10' board! I plan to use these ramps for lighter things like a push lawnmower or hand truck so I will go with a 6-7' board. Also keep in mind the angle these plates are made at, where your plate sits on the tailgate might be angled if your board is too short.

Worth every penny.
Just wanted to say this is one of those GREAT products you wish everything was . It only took 10 minutes to have my ramps ready for my truck. Very sturdy as they will support up to 700 pounds each. More than enough to handle just about anything. They are so good that I bore holes in the 2 by 8's so i could run a cable lock through them because I do not want my ramps stolen. Thanks Iron Forge Tools.

No hardware
The Item came without the hardware. Not a big deal but an inconvenience. The product is nice and just as good as any high dollar ramp ends.

Good Idea, Poor Delivery
While the idea seem plausible, the reason I purchased the product, the reality that the wood ramp is too flexible to safely walk up the ramp was very soon apparent. Yes, I shortened the board, it helped reduce the boards flexing but walking up the ramp with a washer on a dolly was not working, the reason for two stars.

I like the product
I like the product. Feel very safe loading my Honda rancher. Very sturdy. 8 inches wide is slightly narrow but I still feel safe. Had a 2 x 8 laying around and got 2 6ft slabs out of it. I have a stock level 1500 Silverado and I may decide to get some longer boards but for now 6ft boards work fine.

Good price and easy assembly.
Great price and surprisingly not available at H. Freight. Assembly was easy with only a few simple tools.Keep in mind that if you use full 8' long 2x8's with a heavy load, there will be some serious flex and bounce. You will need a second person and you will need to keep your weight off the ramps at the same time as the heavy load. You can also reinforce the 2x8's with 2x4 backers screwed into the undersides.Enjoy!
