Can I use this to send audio to a subwoofer that uses a db9 connection?

Maybe but probably not. This is a digital serial connector. Not designed for analog signals. The fact that your subwoofer has this connector makes me believe that your subwoofer is receiving a digital signal, not analog line level. A db9 is not a typical connector for a subwoofer. I would refer to an operators manual. If by chance the pinout and signal format match, yes it will work. But it's a long shot.
