Has anyone tried using on an airline arm rest?

I have had mine now for about a month and I am completely pleased in all respects.

What is the length between the 2 straps? All the pictures dimensions conveniently leave that out.

About 5.1 inch between the 2 straps. Thank you!

Are these firm enough that your elbow doesn't sink into it?

For me they are. The do make my elbow sit up higher on the arms of the chair.
