This is an honest review of the Tough Hanger XL which I personally own and use to hang my work backpack on. Pros: This Tough Hanger is built rugged and solid. Even with plenty of weight it won’t bend or flex in any way. Overall, I really like the design including the built in handle and various hooks. The Tough Hanger is also US made. In your hand it feels very high quality. Opportunities: The only issue I have run into with the hanger is that in my closet there is a shelf directly above the rod, so to fit the hanger on it you kind of have to wedge it on its side then pull it down. Either way, not a deal breaker but more of a nuance issue with the product in general. Overall, the Tough Hanger is very useful for hanging heavier items in your closet with ease. I use it for my backpack but I could also see the application for a heavy uniform. Just remember to be mindful that even though the hanger can handle the extra weight, if you had multiple hangers your closet rod may need to be reinforced to support the additional weight.

I’m a retired Combat Medic and do volunteer Tactical Medical work. I purchased this product to hold my fully loaded chest plate which weighs in at 20+ pounds when I add my armor plates, primary and secondary magazines, and all the other equipment that I might use. This product is well made, sturdy, and has no problem meeting my needs. I highly recommend this product and will be purchasing several more in the near future.
