This red light therapy professional helmet is made well. Easy to use with the simple buttons on remote to operate. I’m happy to say it’s soft and comfortable while using. I’ve used it every other day as recommended. It’s only been a total of 4x using, but here’s what I’ve noticed so far. I’ve had a lot of hair fall out prior to using this device which was already scary for me. I was a little concerned as the company says possible hair shedding as the weak hair comes out and stronger hair will grow. It made sense to me. Today I’ve noticed a significant improvement of hair shedding than prior to using this device and fuller hair at the crown. I was super happy not to see so much hair coming out from my head. I will continue to use and I’m sure I will be back to update on my hair experience at month six. Maybe 5 stars?!?! TBD. Also I know it a pricey device, however the company offers a money back guarantee if you don’t see or have improvements with your journey. A win win imo. Update: Here’s before & after pics of my hair using the iRESTORE helmet from 12/29/26 to 5/26/26 approximately 5 months use every other day as directed. I did start using the iRESTORE shampoo & conditioner at some point in the beginning of February 2026 and continue to use today. I really like it! I’ve seen positive progress in growth & thickening of my hair. I hope this helps someone to feel like there’s hope in getting results like I have:)

I have just begun using the cap & it is so easy to use. Just 25 minutes every other day. It is super easy to use. I bought the plug in version because I can sit & read or watch TV. I haven't experienced any discomfort thus far. Hoping to see some regrowth in the next 3-6 months.

have used this for a year. trying to be philosophical about the experience. short answer: did not work for hair regrowth so focusing on the experience as a whole. my dr mentioned red light therapy for hair growth 2+ yrs ago. even w his support, i was skeptical. sounded like pseudoscience. a few months later, i started to read more about it and was convinced it was at least worth a try. used it according to schedule for a year with no new growth. theres enough evidence out there to believe it has worked for some, just not me. i would rate the technical performance of the product a five. all the lights are still working, cord and control are still intact. ease of use, also a five. kept it in the box and near where i used it. pulled it out, plugged it in. 25 minutes 3-4 times/wk while you read or watch tv. easy. high marks for customer service and i also liked their shampoo and conditioner altho they are a bit pricey. so if i’m rating the overall experience, four. was worth a shot.

We received the iRestore Cap three weeks ago. We were pleasantly surprised at how well constructed it is; very professional with sturdy construction. Looks exactly as depicted online. We have been using it following the instructions. It fits my husband's head perfectly, but is large on my head. I was a bit miffed at the fact that there were no extra pads included with the cap for a better fit for smaller heads. When I contacted their customer service I was received well by Madelaine who sent me the nicest email I have ever received from a customer service representative. She gracefully said she would send additional foam pads and included precise instructions for their use. My husband and I subsequently decided to also purchase the face mask and have started using it. It is too soon to comment on results from the hair growth cap as it is a test of patience, however, we have seen some positive results with the face mask. My rosacea has improved somewhat which gives hope that it will continue to improve. Also, my husband had a small skin bump on his forehead which has completely disappeared. I will add additional comments as time goes on. Really hoping for good results with both especially the hair growth cap. Fingers crossed. This an update to my previous review above. It has now been three and a half months since starting to use the iRestore Cap for hair growth. I have not yet seen any new growth and I am still experiencing shedding especially with each shampoo. The iRestore team has been very diligent in staying in touch with me to monitor my progress, something I had not been expecting and am infinitely impressed with. Their dedication to my progress is uncommon these days, at least with most companies. The information that came with the iRestore cap indicates a time of three to six or eight months for visible hair growth so I am sticking with it. I will give another update as time goes on. I am giving this product a 5 star so far. I am giving this review because the customer service and follow-up from I restore has been incredible. After purchasing the product and registering the warranty they keep in touch to see how you are doing and if you have questions. The product is packaged well and is easy to use and comfortable. I am 4 weeks into use every other day. I have had increased shedding to start with which customer service said is normal and probably a good thing as I body will replace with stronger hair. I will follow-up with this review after longer use.

I purchased the professional December 2024, within months I noticed subtle strand thickness changes and some new hair grow at the six month point. After 11 months I took advantage of the trade in program and traded up to the elite. I figured at the age of 65, the shorter treatment times and increased RLT coverage was worth the investment. I’m at 17 months now , and as they say a picture is worth 1000 words but in short, a significant amount of regrowth. Consistency is the key. Along my 16 month journey I have incorporate dht blocking shampoos and conditioners. I alternate between, the I-Restore shampoo and conditioner which leaves your hair feeling thicker and the UTTSE Root activator shampoo and the shiny leaf DHT pro conditioner which come in pump bottles. Other items in my routine are 10,000. Mcg biotin supplement daily since the beginning. Six months ago, I Incorporated 5% minoxidil and recently incorporate copper peptides, capixyl, redensyl and procapil serums with the hope that this additional products will fill in the thin areas that are still left. I have considered adding micro needling but have not done the research to whether it could cause damage to the existing hair shafts. I Highly recommend the i-Restore product line. Personally, if I had to do it over again, I would’ve started with the Elite instead of the pro which required 30 minutes a day which is a real commitment. The Elite Only adds 12 minutes to my daily routine so I can be in and out of the shower and out the door in 45 minutes. The only thing that I haven’t addressed is unexpected side effects , NONE that I’ve seen except people asking me what different 😊 and a greater personal visibility of the areas that I still see my scalp😳

I can’t say enough good things about the iRestore helmet! I have CCCA (Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia), and after just 30 days of consistent use, I started seeing noticeable results. At this point I am sorry that I ever started treatment with this helmet! I’ve been using it as directed for the past seven weeks. Before purchasing, I researched light therapy helmets and nowhere did I see the warning to expect significant loss of hair in the first three months. Turns out, that’s what happens. I am distressed beyond words. I have lost so much hair. I no longer have bangs; they’re gone. I am now just praying to get back to where I started. I am going to have to buy a wig to get through the next months until my hair (hopefully) grows back. I’m going to have to stick it out since I’ve gone this far but had I known what was going to happen, I NEVER would have started. I would have stuck with serums and supplements. Honestly, I am in such distress over how much hair I have lost and how horrible it looks. Were they sorry and wanted to give my money back? Was I going to have to return the' helmet from hell' to get my substantial amount of money back? I didn't know from that vague response. I have now spent hundreds of dollars on hair pieces and visits to my hair stylist to try to cope with my baldness on the front of my head, so I felt as if it would be nice to get some kind of refund from the perpetrator. I did as it said and replied, Full Refund. Then I got the response they probably should have led with. Madelaine from the Customer Satisfaction Team sent a lengthy email describing the cycle of hair loss and offering hope that it will work itself out if I keep at it. No offer of any money back, just an offer to extend the warranty period from 6 to 12 months. Whoopie! I stand by my warning. Don't try this helmet for hair growth unless you are willing to go nearly bald before it gets better. I am beside myself. I hate trying hair pieces to cover my baldness. I didn't need that before I used this helmet. I truly wish I had never tried this stupid helmet. Use your money for supplements and serums. Easy to use. I like using it every other day. 25 mins. goes by quickly; wear it while I am on the laptop or watching TV. I find it a good tool in keeping hair loss at bay.

This did absolutely nothing to help me with either new hair growth or prevent hair shedding. Been using it religiously for over 12 months, started using it every two days then switched to every three days. Decided to stop using it now as I'm not realizing any benefit, only worsening. Haven't seen any new growth since using this product, no improvement at all in hair volume, texture, strength or quality. Finding the same amount of hair in the drain, same amount of hair on the floor and in my comb. The product claims to have FDA approval, but only for laser use and not as a hair growth product. The product claims to generate no heat, but you'll notice warming of your scalp in the 25 minutes of individual use (could just be poor ventilation). Frankly, my scalp sweats while I use this device. The cord also makes movement very restrictive during use. I found myself scheduling my day around time to fit in use of this product was a complete waste of time. If you're using other products in combination with this device, be careful about application. I found applying Rogaine even a few hours before or after this device causes significant scalp irritation, probably because of the additional blood flow, but don't think the combination of the two products helped in my situation. Be skeptical of any claims in improvement with hair volume or quality within weeks or even a month or two of use. It takes months to see improvements. It you're not seeing new tiny hair growth, or reduction in shedding, it's not working. Probably best to focus on health, diet and nutrition rather than waste your money on this. I consider myself to be a reasonably healthy person, so I think I'm doing all the right things.

I purchased the iRestore Professional helmet almost 2 years ago. I have female pattern hairloss (FPHL) and thinning hair that has increased since menopause. I did a great deal of research before deciding to spend this amount of money on a device that made claims to help with hair loss. For me, there was adequate research showing that red light therapy can help with thinning hair and I was specifically looking for a device with a wavelength of 650 nm -- the iRestore Professional has 655 nm. Also, I contacted the iRestore company to ensure that I could get the company's 12 month money back guarantee (not just the Amazon's return policy) before purchasing, in the event I didn't like the device or didn't see results, which the company agreed to. So after 2 years what are my thoughts? The device has worked as it should since day 1, with zero issues. The comfort of the helmet is quite good, but I sometimes need to readjust it when I first put it on. Having said that, sometimes I forget to take it off, so that speaks to its level of comfort. You do have to sit with a blinking helmet on your head, which looks a bit ridiculous, so this is something to consider. I use my iRestore helmet consistently, every second day, as recommended, so you should take into account whether or not you are someone who follows routines. Previous to the helmet I used a laser comb, and the helmet is by far much easier to use. The results? I have experienced, and continue to experience, new hair growth along my temples, but little to none down the center of my scalp. I also started taking saw palmetto around the same time as I began using the iRestore helmet, so it is difficult to say if the hair growth along my temples is solely due to the helmet, the saw palmeto or both. Although some may see results with just the iRestore helmet or just saw palmetto, after years of attempting to solve my hair loss issues, it is my belief that multiple interventions are the best approach to slowing down my hair loss. I will continue to use my iRestore helmet and would recommend the helmet if you are a person who follows routines consistently. But it is important to be realistic in your expectations of what red light therapy can do for your hair loss.
