Can you actually can with these? I'd like to make jam for party favors and would need them to seal.

I'm not sure if they will seal but my dad always used a layer of caning wax when he ran out of lids for his jelly so you could probably put a thin layer of wax to seal it and put the lid on for decoration but the lid has a little rubber around it so you never know! Hope that helps

Do they have a magnetic lid?

Not all metal lids are magnetic. It depends on the metal material used in their manufacturing.I bought 2 boxes of these and just verified that they are in fact magnetic. I love them!

How tall and wide are each individual jar?

They were a gift, but they are a wide mouth, good size jar, great for shots, or maybe 1/2 shotes because they are bigger than a shot glass. Perfect for spices and holding other things. I loved them.
