Ignore the naysayers.
On CB it out performs 20 foot verticals. Super narrow gain. Brought me up between 3 and 5 bars according to local contacts. Ignore negative reviews. Those are due to user error. Follow the instructions for backed length and height and this is the best antenna I have used on CB in 40 years. There are lots of technical reasons for that but I wrote a book of a review and accidentally deleted it. So this is my short review. Absolutely worth it. Great TX and RX. Not as good as a taller antenna for 10 meters DX, but you need a lot more power for a DX antenna. This extracts every available drop of juice from low power radios and does it very well.

It works
This is a good antenna, obviously not as good as a full size antenna though. Getting a good SWR required the full 50' of cable and I had to move the cable around in different ways to get a good SWR. I had the excess cable strung out on the ground rather than coiled up with a zip tie and that worked for a good SWR 1.2 on the high end and low end.

It’ll do a reasonable job for a small cheap antenna.
This antenna is pretty good as a temporary fix. I used it with 100 ft coax and the SWR was about 1 across all channels. I had it fixed to the eaves about roof level and it did ok on AM but seemed to do better on SSB when the skip was around. This thing is light and easy to find a place to put it, probably even use duct tape to stick it anywhere and it’d be ok. If you can use the recommended length of coax to get the SWR low and you can’t use a full size antenna for whatever reason, this is a cheap, workable option.

Put it up at least 20ft. & Ground the Mast.
Installed the Antenna on a 20 ft Painters Extension Pole held up by a weighted Umbrella Stand. SWR at about 8 feet was 2.3 - 2.5 . Pushed it up 20 ft and the SWR was 1.1 through all 40 channels during the night time but would climb up to 1.3 - 1.4 through out the day time. Added a Ground to the Painters Extension Pole and now the SWR is 1.0 24 hours a day throughout all 40 channels. The Antenna receives very good. Not much going on here locally so I haven't tested the transmitting yet. Time will only tell.

NOT A GOOD ANTENNA
SO SAD! I BOUGHT THIS ANTENNA, BECAUSE OF GOOD REVIEWS. BUT THIS ANTENNA IS JUST A CRAP. IT PRODUCES A LOT SIGNAL LEAKAGE, I THOUGH MAYBE IT CAME BROKEN OR FACTORY DEFECTIVE, THEN I ASKED FOR A REPLACEMENT. SAME DAMN THING, A LOT SIGNAL LEAKAGE, EVEN IT KILLS MY MODEM WIFI. I HAVE A HOME MADE DIPOLE, 0% SIGNAL LEAKAGE. THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I DON`T KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING TO AMAZON, THEY JUST WANT TO GET THEIR % OF SALE ON CRAPPY THINGS PEOPLE WANT TO SALE. AMAZON SHOULD START MAKING TEST BEFORE POSTING THEM. WHAT A SHAME!

Junk
Junk. Don't expect much from this antenna. I first mounted it about 20 foot up and was getting a decent SWR. I then moved it to a more permanent telescoping mast about 25-27 foot up. This is when my SWR went through the roof. I could hear but not talk to anyone. I had to lower it down to about 15 foot to get a decent SWR again but then I couldn't hear anything. I was so hoping this antenna would be a good one.

Decent TX, poor RX.
Let me preface with my setup. I have a Uniden Bearcat 980SSB that I am using as a base and I'm running barefoot. I'm presently using a homemade field antenna with a 53" whip and 2-4 10' radials mounted to a camera tripod with an extra 4' mast and I can talk about 15-20 miles, verified. My normal antenna is about 12'-13' to the tip. I was excited about this NGP but admittedly I had read good and bad reports. Some claiming it was junk and others singing it's praises. I received the antenna and the first thing I had to do was repair it. The bottom rivet was missing so I pulled it apart as it slides apart easily without that bottom rivet, checked continuity, reinstalled, placed a small screw in the missing rivet hole and check continuity again. All seemed well. My first attempt was on a tripod with 8' of mast pushing the base of the Tram up in the air to about 12'. I will say it looks good up there with a simple profile and it looks like it could really do some work. With 50' of new coax laid out straight, I couldn't talk or receive and SWR was about 2.5+ across the bands. After reading the reviews I switched to a new roll of Workman 100' cable and tried again in the same configuration. SWR came down to below 2 but barely. I hit a trucker about 8 miles away (verified) but could barely hear him back, having to turn the squelch all the way down. He said I sounded good but no so much on my end. Even now, sitting here with the squelch turned all the way down, traffic is just barely breaking though and I'm 1/2 mile from a major Interstate. I'm going to play with this antenna some more but right now, as far as using it as a permanent mount, it's probably not going to happen since I can't tune it without a tuner. That would just mask the problem anyway. I had high hopes for this stealth mount antenna but for my needs, so far it's a fail. It's also very noisy.

Great little antenna! For the price you can’t beat it. Easy to install, but the U bolts were a bit small, but all in all good build quality. Good SWR on 11 meters and works to the mid 10 meters at 1.5 : 1 With an external antenna tuner it will be closer to a 1:1 match on 28-29.7 Mhz Make sure you use at least 50 feet of good coax to compensate for the ground plane

I think the antenna is over priced at amazon, other stores sell for $45. It does use the coax as a ground plane, need about 50 ft of it, or SWR will be high. SWR is good, 1.3 all band, no issue, seems to work ok, just over priced. Shop around as amazon increases and decreases prices often..

I use this for 10/11m TX and RX on everything from 40m up and it works fine. It easily handles my 100W output with a 1:1 Match at 10 Meters at 12m the antenna matcher reports high match but it was not rated for that, it is a CB antenna working perfectly on 10 meters... I hear that this antenna works best at 50+ feet up in the air, I only have it 15 feet up and for the price vs performance, I am pleased.
