Snuggly Baby Crofter DK Double Knitting - 50g Cara (165)

This is a fan favorite in our knitting group. Perfect to knit up baby garments with a fair isle design.

My local independent yarn shop is a snob about acrylic fibers but when knitting a baby sweater this is what’s needed. The yarn is soft and easy on one’s hands.

I bought this wool for a blanket I've crocheted for the baby I'm expecting. It is such lovely wool and the colours give a lovely pattern! I wanted an interesting coloured blanket without having to change the wool- this was perfect! I used 6 balls for this 'crib sized' blanket (I did not check the weight of the wool before starting and did choose a thread heavy stitch but would 100% make the same decision as the blanket is beautiful!) The 7th ball of wool I used to make a new born born and 3-6 month hat. I would say i have enough wool for another new born hat, so have got 3 hats from one ball. The wool is very soft. It's been through the washing machine and washed really well. In the images, the blanket has been through the wash but the new born hat is yet to be.

Lovely wool, soft, nice colours, knits well, But -- I ordered DK, labels say DK and this wool received is 4ply version, obviously wrongly labelled, had to change to 4ply pattern as DK pattern would have only fitted a doll
