It’s this or surgery, your choice
Have been using this device for 3 years. It does work but it takes time to work. It is not a overnight fix. It can take a couple of days up to a couple weeks depending how long you wear it. I have worn it up to 8 to 10 hrs depending on the pain. It does straightens the toe bone. Compared to surgery it is cheaper. The main thing to do is wear proper shoes so your toes are not jam together which causes the problem. I also use spacers between the big toe when wearing shoes & it seems to help.

Good but could be better
The package came crumpled in an envelope, not a box. The second picture shows the packaging straight out of the delivery envelope. The contents were undamaged but only barely. The corrector itself is ok. The cable dial pulls the toe apart as advertised, but the dial rotation and pulling actions are not smooth. It helps if you spread the toe with your fingers as you turn the dial. The dial tends to disengage from its pull too easily. Wiggle the toe to test the hinge and the cable lost tension. Trying to walk resulted in the same. This is still a stationary tool. Will see if I can sleep with it on but I am fairly certain the cable will disengage at some point during sleep. EDIT: A couple of months have passed since initial impressions. Overall I am satisfied with the performance of the devices. The contraptions are quite fiddly and the dials still take some cajoling to tighten correctly but once you get used to their placement on your feet, the workflow and results improve. I’m sticking to my initial impression of good but could be better. If I were to purchase again, I would not go for the 2-unit bundle. One at a time works perfectly fine and makes hobbling around the house less awkward.

Get these already
I tried the black strap ones with a metal piece in them and after buying these, the verdict is out. These are the only bunion straighteners you need. Why? I realized that not all bunions are made the same. Some people’s twists slightly, some severely and some at odd angles. It’s multi dimensional. With this one, the metal piece that is suppose to straighten out the toe joint has its own joint that makes it adjustable to the angle you need to train the bunion to move inwards. Further, the padding behind the joint allows you sufficient area to adjust the bunion ball into the appropriate place it needs to be. At first, I didn’t understand the fine art of adjustment and popped it on mindlessly only to have my bunion hurting more and the next day looking worse. After studying it, and being careful with the angles, it feels so much better and my foot is looking right again. Those black fabric ones couldn’t do this. Also, someone gave a good tip which is that you only really need fo buy one and allow each foot to take turns. I do them for an hour each while watching tv or sitting down working on my laptop. Also. Don’t attempt to walk with these, it will throw your adjusted angle out of whack so you just have to sit out while the brace is on.

Doesn’t work
I’ve been using it for 2 months and I haven’t seen a change. The knob gets loose when I walk. I have to keep adjusting it. People need to write a review months after using it to actually know if it works. Writing a review when you first try it’s not very helpful for people who need to know if it works. In my case, I went by the star reviews. Now it’s too late to return. It would’ve been great if it had worked for the price. Maybe it might work for some people but it did not work for me. It would be impossible to know if it will work in 30 days, you need more time. So by that time, your stuck with it if it doesn’t work. That’s how this company is making money.

It works it helps aligned your crooked toes and alleviate the pain
This product is best to use during bed time as it doesnt fit for any shoes, big toes have already noticed the difference as they are already straightening up. This is the real deal this bunion corrector device for real alignment your toes, provide support and it does alleviate the pain. All in all I’m glad I found it, I wasn’t ready to have surgery oh no, but this has helped so much, I do recommended if you have a bunion.

Not impressed
1st pic - no tension. 2nd pic - full tension. 3rd pic - after walking 10 steps, went back to no tension and rode up off the bone to become out of place on my bone. You can kind of see the redness from just this short distance. It gets worse with time. I guess this has potential to be ok. It doesn't stay in place and constantly comes loose and moves out of place from where it should be. When wearing it properly in position (with no movement) it pushes pretty hard against my bone and is a bit uncomfortable. It catches on things... ie.. pants, blankets...whatever... and yanks pretty hard which is uncomfortable. I would only recommend if you use this while not moving around.

Five stars because this is a long game – not a sprint
All the reviews that are saying this doesn’t work because their toes aren’t straight are missing a very important point! This is not a cure, but prevention for it getting even worse and subtle training of the bones and muscles to move towards straight. These are super high-quality, easy to put on and remove, and it just feels good to be doing something positive instead of watching the angle increase and the bunion get more painful.

Not great in its use. It does comes loose as the locking mechanism is not as sturdy.
