AvoDerm Natural Tuna & Crab Entrée in Gravy - Grain Free Wet Canned Cat Food 3 oz

I have 4 cats and they love this stuff. I feel like I can trust this brand’s quality. I’ve been using it for years with no digestive problems. And it has been consistent in the way it looks and smells. This is my cats favorite of all the brands of canned food that I give them. I switch it up so they don’t get bored. For me I hate it. It has a very strong fish smell and I guess that’s why my cats love the taste of it plus it looks awful. But my cats love it and I trust the ingredients from this company so they keep getting it even though it stinks to high heaven to me.

I adopted two very undernurished kittens from the Humane Society, whose on-staff vet said that AvoDerm dry and canned food is the best on the market for cats. When I took the kittens for their vet checkup 6 months later, my own vet also agreed that this is the best food available and was so pleased with the health of the kittens. My older cats have also seen a huge improvement in their coats -- much more silky and shiny, shedding is reduced and their weight is easily maintained on this food. I recommend trying this food if you have finicky cats or they have health problems. My cats absolutely LOVE all the Avoderm Select Cuts (chunky-style) flavors AND all the flavors of this pate-style food. The seafood flavors seem to be the most popular among the cats, but many vets recommend avoiding too much seafood for male cats due to the urine crystals it can cause. I started feeding the beef and chicken exclusively and they eat every last drop. Bottom line: It costs more than your average food, but it's worth every penny (buying it by the case can give you a pretty good discount from most vendors). If you consider that it keeps them healthier, which can save you from expensive vet bills in the long run, then it's worth it. Plus, think of the time you'll save not having to clean up after their shedding! Also, I've noticed that this brand does not result in the runny, smelly poo that some other, cheaper brands do. Try this food out on your cats -- you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I've got three little hellraisers that usually can't agree on which food they like, especially when I'm trying to feed them the 'good' stuff (aka, not the snouts & tails). Any other pricey wet food I've tried that is grain free, healthy, human grade, etc they are not buying into that hipster BS. Out of many attempts, maybe 2 of my 3 will like this, but 1 out of 3 prefers this, or I go 0 for 3. However, I bought this trying to help my 6 year old and a 1 year old boys with some dander/skin itchies. The boys and the 1 year old girl all love this food and finish it with a look of 'please sir may I hav'summore?" I tell them "first off, it's ma'am and secondly when did you learn cockney??" But in all honesty, I'll gladly pay a little extra to know that all 3 of my furchildren will actually clean the plate completely. I've noticed less dandruff and a shinier/softer coat on all 3 as well. Delicious and healthy?! Can't believe it! Can't recommend enough!

After trying Blue Buffalo, Halo and others I decided to give this a try after reading the great reviews. MY CATS LOVED IT!!! I can't belive I found a nutritious food that my cats actually like, the 3 of them!! I used to buy those treat pouches to put it on top of the expensive holistic-organic, fancy schmancy food but it became very expensive, 3 cats, twi​ce a day, you do the math. Well, this food is awesome, it is nutritional and tastes like a treat (to them). I followed the advise of one of the reviewers of adding a little bit of water for more gravy "effect", it was a success! My finicky kitty and the skinny, picky eater older cat cleaned the plate. I have three happy, well-fed kitties at home! You gained one more costumer, AvóDerm!!!!

WTH on the price fluctuations. When I was buying this a year ago, it was about $40 for 24 5.5 oz cans. It finally came back in stock a month ago at 31 for 24 3 oz cans. Then dropped to $28 for that. I get paid today, go to buy more, and now it's $40? I know that supply and demand has been an issue the last few years, but a price jump like this just smacks of corporate greed. I have 3 cats and this is their favorite wet food, but I have to feed 2-3 cans for one of their two meals and....I haven't noticed any money trees in my yard lately. Summary: tasty food for the cats, budget buster for me.

I have a cat who has pancreatitis, and lost a lot of weight over a two-month period. I bought so many brands of expensive, natural, grain- free, dry and canned food, hoping to boost his nutrition and help with putting on some more weight, but he would only sniff them and walk away. Knowing he really only liked wet food with chunks in gravy before he got sick, I took a chance and ordered a case of AvoDerm Tuna and Crab Entree in Gravy, and he loved it! He eats one to 3 cans a day and has started putting a little weight back on. When it was time to reorder, i got another case of Tuna and Crab, and also took a chance on a case of the AvoDerm Chicken Chunks Entree in Gravy, and I am so happy that he loves that one too! Yes, AvoDerm is more expensive than the others we used to feed him, but in looking back, the less expensive brand we used to feed him had lots of chicken "meal", grains, and fillers in them, and may have contributed to his pancreatitis. Very happy with the ingredients and nutritional value of AvoDerm wet cat food. We will definitely be buying more of both the Chicken Chunks Entree in Gravy and the Tuna and Crab Entree in Gravy.

The rest of the cans, I end up throwing away because it sits too long uneaten after serving. I'll have to find an alternate canned cat food. This food has a gooey, so called gravy that serves and looks disturbing. The next cat food will be made in the USA to ensure that the quality control is top notch and, therefore, comforting to feed my cat.

Both of my cats practically knock me over to get to this. They will forget themselves and jump up on the counter (which they know better than to do-in front of me) because they are so excited. It looks positively disgusting. It is definitely chunks of real tuna. But covered in the most disgusting looking "gravy" I have ever seen. It almost looks like cloudy hair gel. But the cats wolf it down. This is the third grain-free brand I have tried and the only one that the cats consumed completely. Lick the bowls clean, every time. Since I am feeding them this to help prevent crystals in the male's urine, I water down the food and gravy with a little bit of warm water, just like I did the others. They drink all the gravy and then eat the tuna. With the other foods, they left the solids behind for the most part. So with the other two brands, I was throwing out probably half a can of the solids every time. All three are comparably priced, "natural" food. So this one, in the tuna flavor is the winner with both my cats.
