Question 1

Preferred the 'old version' - why the change? ... & Why is it $10 Cheaper locally ? Like the conveience of online shopping - but $10 is a lot.

Accepted Answer

For everyone that agrees this new flavor isn't good. Best thing to make them realize they messed up is to stop buying it for now. And hope they change the flavor back...
Although not the same I do like whole earth and sea proteins and greens too.

Question 2

What is difference between the new and old version of this product?

Accepted Answer

Hello,

Our Organic Plant Protein Blend is our new & improved version of Protein Superfood, now with more nutrition and even better taste. Still providing all-in-one nutrition and 2 cups of fruits and vegetables, on top of 20g of plant based protein, we re-crafted the details of our nutritious plant-based blend to now include Vitamin C, coming from organic acerola cherry and Vitamin D, coming from organic algae extract – all supporting immune health. You can also expect a more effective amino acid profile that your body can use more efficiently to support muscle recovery. To address consumer feedback on taste and texture, we amped up our flavors while also optimizing creaminess with the use of certified organic, vegan ingredients like coconut oil powder. Together, you can expect the flavors and nutrition you love from Protein Superfood, but now in our new & improved line, Organic Plant Protein Blend. We love it and hope you do too!

Healthy Regards,

Amazing Grass Team

Question 3

Is it well absorbed by body? Does it cause a lot of gas?

Accepted Answer

I really love this....no gas.....but I do add in all sorts of other ingredients to optimize it....chorella, tumeric, green tea powder, etc. I think this is a good neutral base for a morning drink that gives you protein.

Question 4

What is the exact heavy metals content per serving? Amazing Grass was recently sued per Prop 65 for not disclosing lead content on some products.

Accepted Answer

Hello Jake,

We wish to reassure our customers that all our greens and superfoods products are safe to consume. Amazing Grass products include organic and plant-based ingredients which may contain naturally occurring, trace levels of lead. These naturally-occurring amounts are below California’s Proposition 65 standard, which is one of the strictest labeling regulations in the U.S. The voluntary settlement agreement with the California Attorney General did not include any finding that Amazing Grass’ products violated any product safety or labeling law, and does not require the products to be reformulated, recalled or discontinued.

Amazing Grass products are manufactured in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration under strict quality and food safety standards. Our wheat grass and other greens are 100% organically grown and harvested. Like all things that are grown in the soil, there will be a trace amount of heavy metals naturally occurring in the ingredients - this is the case with all crops including fresh organic fruit and vegetables. However, no Proposition 65 warning is required under California law.

We have strict quality standards in place to ensure our products meet our expectations. For instance, our production facility uses a supplier verification process to ensure ingredients are sourced from industry experts, including confirmation that the ingredients meet quality specifications before they accept any materials into the facility.

We stand behind our longstanding history of safe use, as well as our commitment to our consumers to produce the highest quality products in the industry.

We hope this addresses your concern, please reach out to us directly if you have any further questions.

Healthy Regards,

Amazing Grass Team
