Should come standard in any home
Living in central Florida exposes our home to occational close lightening strikes. Being concerned about electrical surges that might damage some of our electronic equipment in our home, I thought it prudent to install a whole house surge protector. The cost of this unit is so much less than what our power company charges to provide protection, so this was a no brainer. The complete proccess to install this surge breaker took only a few minutes and can be completed by just about anyone with some knowlege about electricity. If you have not been exposed to working in an electrical panel and are uncomfortable, you can always hire an electrician. I turned the main breaker off, removed the panel cover, removed and existing breaker, installed the surge breaker, connected the nuetral wire and after replacing the panel cover and reenergized the main breaker, it was done. You should be aware that even though the main breaker is off, there is still power comming into the electrical panel from the utility. Make sure that you stay clear of that power coming in and use all standard safety precautions. This fit nicely into my square D panel and does take up the space of two standard size breakers. I do like that it has a green light that showes it to be powered up and doing it's job. Time will tell if it is durable but it has all the indications of being well made.

Quick install and works and fit great.
Surge protector fit perfectly in our breaker panel. Install took less than 5 minutes. More affordable than purchasing at Menards. We have an inverter ac and heat pump water heater so knowing our home is protected from power issues is a must. It worked great in our square d home line panel and like how it has an indicator light to notify us if there is an issue.

Effective and Easy to Install
I live in an area where there are frequent power line glitches. Not full blackouts that last several seconds to hours, but dips and interruptions just long enough to trigger my UPS devices. These glitches seem to be the most potentially damaging to electronic devices, especially devices having inadequate internal surge protection. I already have a whole-house surge protector in my house distribution panel, and bought this device for my remote workshop that is on a separate power line. Installation is quick and simple as it mounts in any breaker panel position just like a 240 volt circuit breaker, and requires only the white wire to be connected to ground. The green light provides assurance it is operational when the panel door is opened. Whole house surge protection is essential wherever there is power line chaos and expensive electronic equipment is at risk -- highly recommend.

A Second Line of Defense Against Lightning
I live in the lightning capital of North America, Orlando Florida. As a result, after my most recent loss to a lightning strike (it's probably happened 5 times in the last 20 years), my electrician recommended that I install TVSS's/surgebreakers as a second line of defense (the first line is a surge arrestor that my electric company installed on my electric meter). TVSS stands for transient voltage surge suppressor. He recommended that I install two, one in my outside main box (pic 2) and one inside my inside breaker box (pic 1). Per the instructions and guidance of yet another electrician, I installed them at the position closest to where the power enters the box, as you can see, both are in the top positions. Notice in picture 1, the two breakers below the surgebreaker are single pole tandem breakers. That's because I had to turn 4 positions into 2 in order to make room for the TVSS (surgebreaker). Also notice that in both pictures, there is a green LED lit, indicating that they are functioning properly and protecting me. If you aren't experienced in electrical breaker box work, you should have a licensed electrician do the work. There's enough power going into those boxes to fry you like bacon in seconds! One thing I really like about these TVSS's, is they are manufactured by Schneider Electric. I have other Schneider equipment and found the quality to be outstanding! As a matter of fact, I have a 3rd line of defense for electric surges and it is, that I have 3 different ACP conditioners with surge suppression and battery backup, which are made by Schneider Electric, on my computer, and two TV's and electronic components. The warranty is 3 years after the date of purchase or 2 years following the installation date, whichever occurs earlier. The warranty covers you for up to $10,000 and covers major household appliances (not microwaves or countertop appliances). While the warranty doesn't specifically cover audio, video, and computer equipment, the very fact that a TVSS is installed IS going to help protect those items too. The surgebreaker is made in Mexico for Schneider Electric USA, Inc. Even if you don't live in Central Florida, you get lightning strikes occasionally, and I recommend that you install atleast one of these devices in the upper position of your outside main breaker box, or your inside breaker box. It could save you some headaches.

Easy to Install, Have Had GFCI Issues After Installation
It’s difficult to say how well this works, but it was pretty easy to install. I will say that after installation, I’ve had issues with my pressure washer tripping a GFCI outlet on a different circuit. I haven’t removed it to check if it is the cause, but it is a possible issue.

Es de buena calidad pero no me funcionó para el tablero eléctrico que tenía, tengo que cambiar por un modelo homeline ya que el tengo es Qo... Me confundí al comprar el dispositivo equivocado ya que manejan los dos modelos.

Did not fit my square D panel
This does "NOT" fit square D QO panels. It is for homeline HO panels.

No information as to pro or cons for the product.
Unit was installed in my electrical box to have protection from power surges. Haven't had the opportunity to access the product yet as there hasn't been any power interruptions.
