Extra Long 14" Stem Churchwarden Tobacco Pipe - With Indian Spirit Feathers & Beads - Hand Made Wood Smoking Bowl for Herbs - in Gift Box

I have smoked a pipe off and on for the past 50 years and I am the farthest away from being an authority on pipes as you can get. I have cheap pipes, expensive pipes, corn cob pipes, home made pipes and electronic pipes. I have had a lot of pipes over the years but I have never owned a long pipe such as this pipe. My main dislike of smoking a pipe is that it always has a bite and makes my tongue sore, so I always have reverted back to cigarettes. I would love to quit cigarettes and smoke only a pipe but I can't seem to get rid of the bite. My wife absolutely hates the smell of cigarettes but likes the smell a pipe, so I get a thumbs up when I smoke a pipe. I was watching the Hobbit movie and saw them smoking long pipes. I have never had one and I was wondering if the length would help lessen the bite so I ordered this one to give it a try. I was amazed to find how much smoother smoking this pipe was than my other pipes. The bite doesn't begin for me until it gets down to the bottom of the bowl. By that time, I am ready to stop smoking it anyway. So now if I want to smoke a pipe, this is the pipe I now grab. I find it a lot more enjoyable than my short pipes. The pipe appears to be well constructed. There are only 2 drawbacks to a long pipe that I can find. Due to it's length it does require one hand to hold the pipe, unless one has super strong teeth. This in turn makes it hard for me to smoke it while playing and typing on my computer or working in the yard. It's great for sitting back while watching a movie or just relaxing though. The other drawback I found is storing it when you are not puffing on it. It won't fit into my pipe rack so I have to either lay it down on it's side or put it back into the box it came with. It's a minor problem that I can live with. So far, I really like the pipe and I am very glad that I purchased it.

Fantastic pipe. My first Churchwarden and I'm not disappointed with my choice. Great smoke. I personally removed the navaho feathers/beads due to personal preferance. Only issue i have (agreeing with a previous reviewer) is that the stem is slightly loose from the shank so of you dont support the pipe with your hand whilst drawing out the smoke, it may loosen out. Great value for money and all in all a quality pipe. Great job Mr Blog.

Pipe looks beautiful speedy delivery, comes well packaged, lovely lined box if you want it as a gift for someone,can't wait to smoke it! Smokes really nice I have taken filters from both ends but you don't need to to smoke it I think for the price you can't go wrong I would recommend it.. thank you

This beautiful work of art pipe created the smoothest smoke I have ever had. Because the pipe, it's so long it doesn't burn the back of your throat or make it feel uncomfortable. No more chocking either. It's really is just like very soothing. Is the best pipe I have ever had. I did change the beads to better quality. Beads, because I wanted beads that were turquoise and made out of like bone, so that it looked like a real Indian pipe and I added extra feathers that were like spotted and had different like little colors mixed in. I'm so happy with how that came out. But yeah, I actually replaced their beads with my own, more better quality beads and feathers and it looks amazing.

Really beautifully designed, my only issue was that the filter inside was the wrong way around and had to be turned however since then it has worked like a treat. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price, you really do get more than you pay for.
