Deve Herbes Pure Melissa Essential Oil 30ml (1 oz)

I've been buying Melissa Essential oil for awhile and was sucked in to this really cheap price (I was hesitant). After using it a few times I question it's purity. It doesn't quite smell like pure Melissa and if you use it on a cold sore or abrasion, it stings. I've never experienced that before with using pure Melissa. In reality, if other companies are selling it for so much more per ounce why would this one be so much less expensive. Plant Therapy sells it for $44 for 1/2 ounce. Eden's Garden sells 1/3 ounce for $67. This company is in India so shipping has to be more expensive for them than US companies. I say do your own research and only buy from well known sources. I am considering sending this off to be tested by a third party lab. I will not use it again.

This is everything you could want. High quality oil, competitive prices, plus excellent customer service. I had a great experience overall and will order from them again. Expect shipping to take a bit longer, it's coming from India. The company was very helpful when I asked for assistance, they went out of their way to take care of me. Very pleased with the oil & them. 2 thumbs up.

How caustic this essential oil does not lead me to believe that it is more potent, but that it is not what it is supposed to be. It doesn't pass my sniffer, either. It actually smells like lemon verbena essential oil, so perhaps that is actually what this product is. Short of a lab analysis, that's my best guess. I don't recommend this product.

This is the worst case of bad essential oil that I have ever witnessed, not just witnessed but paid for too. This has NO smell. Really no smell at all. I've read some of the 5 star reviews and I don't know if I got the bottle with oil only, or if some of the reviewers are either A. lying, or B. have no sense of smell, or C. I have lost my sense of smell. AND, it FAILED THE SIMPLE PAPER TEST. I put a drop in 2 places on a sheet of paper and there are 2 large oil spots. I did the paper test because when I opened the bottle and failed to detect any scent at all, I put 2 drops on my wrist, rubbed with my other wrist and smelled my wrists, STILL NO SMELL, and it felt very oily, like olive oil. Melissa is an expensive essential oil, but I was hoping that since this Melissa sold by Deve Herbeswas, and coming from India would be the real deal, just cheaper because a lot of essential oils coming out of India are the real deal and they are inexpensive compared to USA essential oils. Now I'm off to Eden's Garden to spend 5 times as much as this brand for 1/3 of the volume, but at least I'll get the REAL Melissa, not some crappy carrier oil. This one will be returned. Don't aste your money on this. Don't forget the saying "If something seems to be too good to be true, it probably is."

I have Lemon Balm/Melissa officinalis growing in my backyard, so I know this is the real deal - theoretically I could extract/distill my own oil but this is easier, nice and concentrated, and at a good price.It arrived quickly, well-packed and in perfect condition.

While the oil is wonderful (the aroma lessens my migraine headache symptoms like a charm), the bottle arrived with a crack in the lid which soon broke entirely. The product is great, but the shipping service from India leaves something to be desired.

The fragrance of this oil is lovely. I place a little on my hands when I go to bed. The fragrance helps me to fall asleep. It is so pleasant. I will purchase again.

Después de un mes de estar usandola, me not mas relajado por las noche y además va muy bien para espantar a los mosquito. Aunque es algo cara, vale la pena por su calidad farmaceutica

Smells like Melissa. Probably real even at this low price. I would buy again.
