I bought these to replace another brand of dusk to dawn bulb,and increae the buld to 13w vs 9w. That brand would dim to half power after 6 hours. Normally that a good thing to save money, but they were 9w LED bulbs,so how much do you really save? They work great.

I love these photo-sensitive bulbs. I live in NJ and it gets dark early in the wintertime. I flip the switch for the outside lights when I go out and know that they won’t come on until it’s dark. I come home to a well-lit property. Convenient and economical.

Work well! Don’t have to worry about resetting timer with Daylight Savings

I bought these bulbs because I needed outdoor bulbs that turn themselves on and off and I wanted 100W equivalent bulbs for the extra brightness, so when I read the description and it said these were 100W equivalent bulbs I decided to purchase them. I should have checked the lumens with some of my other LED bulbs that are 100W equivalent, as I would have realized that the description for this item was incorrect. When I replaced my regular LED bulbs that are 100W equivalent with these bulbs I realized immediately that they were not of the same brightness. The light of these Aovpex bulbs is very dim - they barely lit my front steps - they made it seem very dark and gloomy, and I have had to purchase other dawn to dusk bulbs that are 1600 lumens to light up my front steps to the level I had before with my regular LED 100W equivalent bulbs. The dawn to dusk feature (turning themselves on and off) does seem to work properly, so I have no complaints there, but the brightness of these bulbs makes them almost useless for home security.

Excellent bulbs

I love, love, love these lights! My kids have the bad habit of forgetting to turn on the porch light when it gets dark. There were so many times when I'd come home from work late and had to fumble for my house keys in the dark. Scary! These lights are wonderful! We just leave the indoor switch in the on position all the time and these automatically come on when it gets dark, and turn off when the sun comes up. We have a covered patio light, so the lights with the sensor on the front didn't work for us. These, on the other hand, have a wrap around sensor so they detect light from all directions and even work with our covered light. This product definitely exceeded my expectations and I feel much safer now.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Used this brand before and had good results.

We purchased four bulbs 9/22/21 and one has failed 4/2/22. We emailed the company twice but they never responded. They included a card in the package of bulbs that stated "Your satisfaction is a priority, Please reach out to us if you have issues, We always stand behind our products". Apparently this is not true, so we would not recommend this product. UPDATE The company did contact us and was very helpful. They sent two new bulbs to replace the one that failed. They do work to see that the customer is satisfied. Very good customer service.

These are great lights that will save you money. I used to always leave my outdoor lights on but when I calculated how much electricity they were using I figured I needed to do something about it. My calculations say I should save what I paid for these in electricity in about 7 months, then it’s all savings after that! They are also nice and bright!
