QILIPSU Outdoor Electrical Box Waterproof Junction Box 11.8"x7.9"x6.7"

I purchased the 8.6"x6.7"x4.3" SSL version and here are my thoughts on it for anyone using it for amateur radio: I purchased this size so it was thick enough to allow me to run coaxial cable into my house without bending the cable. This worked well and the metal tabs on the outside allowed me to attach it to my house (vinyl siding) easily without any modifications. The plastic didn't seem PVC durable and I felt if I drilled it with a larger diameter drill bit it could crack. To solve this issue I clamped a piece of wood on each side of the holes I intended to drill which prevented cracking and worked great. I also needed to cut a 2 1/8" hole in the back to run a PVC conduit pipe into my house so I could have several coax leads going inside. Again, I clamped wood on both sides and drilled the hole with no cracking issues. Later I needed to drill a small hole for my ground wire and using a small bit with no wood it came out fine. So what's my point here? If you're going to drill a lot of holes in this box to run cables and avoid cracking it use this method to prevent damage. The box itself seems like it will hold up fine. It's winter here and I've had no moisture issues but once summer storms roll around we'll see how well it works. I honestly do not anticipate any issues. I would definitely purchase this box again for future projects. The latches for the enclosure also seems fine. I did purchase "cable glands" which you can find on Amazon. This allows you to run cable and keep your holes waterproof. I mounted them all on the bottom of the case so I don't anticipate any rain water penetrating the box but, again, time will tell. Overall I'm happy with the intended outcome for amateur radio purposes. Last note. I ran RG-8X cable in and if I was to use RG213 or LMR400 I still think it would work ok with the larger diameter cables but if there was a lot of stress at the cable gland I might consider something a little thicker as this case is slightly on the thin side from a durability standpoint.

I've had this installed over 5 years now outside in a climate with high summer heat and cold winters. It has direct sun, wind, and weather exposure. I have it mounted to backer board on the backside of a power pedestal. I used it as part of a setup to install my Starlink dish in a clear area away from my house. I have a small router, two POE injectors, and an AC power strip inside of this. It has held up really well. Over the years, the plastic has changed color a bit but that's to be expected. I've never been aware of any water getting in. I do have some small insects that seem to get in but my guess is that they're coming in where I put the waterproof cable glands on the bottom -- although I've tried to tighten those down. If I had it to do over again, I would get a larger box but this has performed very well so this brand is a winner for me.

Perfect box to mount a flo by moen smart shut-off valve/leak detection. This installation was outdoors and I needed a good weatherproof box to mount it in. This did the trick! Solid construction. I drilled a few holes in it for my water lines and the power supply. I didn't use the included brackets to secure it to the exterior wall i simply drilled a few tapcons directly through the back of the box into the stone wall. The box is very secure on the wall! Overall a great product! Door seals tight and feels firm, rubber seal prevents water from getting in.

Seems solid and well made.

Works as described, size did catch me off guard. Size is listed though. Not sure what I was expecting. I can recommend, but it is big. Way bigger than I needed for my Rak device.

Easy to use . Waterproof . Has little bumps in the interior which I sliced off so I could glue down the RJ45 socket.Otherwise it dod the job

Used to cover a VFD for my drill press to keep out the dust. Some modifications were required but it’s working great.

I've not used it for intended purpose yet . Intended purpose is a non ferrous (magnetic) sealed box entry for HAM radio purpose at wall entry to my shack. Overall impression is good on inspection. Solid seal, snaps closed well with stainless hardware. Good hinge, etc. Rubber o-ring seal around door hole. The plastic like mat it is made of is thick enough for my needs , and should hold up well for years. Should be easy enough to drill thru for cable thruputs, etc. Mine arrived with the door panel ajar so was not sealed vacuum tight like I saw some other reviewers complain about. Perhaps that is new means of shipping the item due to those complaints. I didn't test with water hose to judge water proofness but I can't see how water could gain entry as the box snaps quite snugly when closed with the snaps. If one wants non metallic I'd call this a good value. If one does not need non metallic one might find better value elsewhere. GOod luck shopping.

Exactly as advertised. Was so airtight when I received it that I thought it was possibly defective (spoiler: it was NOT defective)... Took quite a lot of force to open, only to hear the suction as I did. This thing was so airtight, I couldn't open it with the negative internal pressure from flight, excellent!
