ASK A to Z of Copperplate calligraphy Trace & Learn Edition:Learn Penmanship Calligraphy Workbook Mastering Handwriting Cursive Handwriting for Beginners This is a time when standardized computer fonts dominate designs and correspondences, ASK Books Publications offers a collection of books dedicated to the good old fashioned art of lettering, calligraphy and typography. Here you will learn ancient styles as old as the fourth century to modern techniques that will help you add an elegant personal touch to envelope-addressing, invitations, dinner party menus, gift tags and more. Here you will learn letters numbers sentences paragraphs letters 100% satisfaction guaranteed Have fun Review: Majority of the pages have tracing lines - There is one brief instruction page with very basic info and then it's straight on to tracing. Paper is not too thick so I'm only going to use pencil. I would have liked to know how much of the book had tracing outlines, so I counted for everyone! 53 pages all tracing, 38 lined pages for freehand writing, and 16 half page tracing/half freehand. My pics show full alphabet so you can see the letter styles and shade of the tracing letters compared to normal print. Review: Perfect! - I needed to learn calligraphy QUICK to make Christmas cards this year. This workbook was perfect. No "theory", background, blah, blah, blah... Just jumped right into 1 sample letter, then letters to trace over, then lines to practice on my own. Covered capitals & lower case letters from A-Z, with just 1 page of numbers 1-10 (no tracing etc. for numbers, just a page of examples). I highly recommend for people like myself who don't like a lot of tutorial; just get down to business!

Only one issue
Only bad thing on this book, if using a dip pen, the ink will bleed through no matter how light you press when writing.

Not a a good book for learning the art of Copperplate Calligraphy.
This book does not begin to offer real training for the complex art of Copperplate Calligraphy. . Instructions are limited to one (1) page of six (6) sentences. It does not tell anything about the tools needed to learn this art form. You are suppose to learn it by tracing the letters.. Most of the pages of the book are simply repetitive Capital and lower case letters and numbers you are to trace.

Use Marker paper over the pages to stop it bleeding through
I love that there is a whole page of letters to practice however, if you use the page directly the ink soaks through the page and ruins the page behind so you lose that page to practice on. My recommendation is to buy a pad of marker paper and put that over the top. You can see through the marker paper to practice and the ink doesn't soak through marker paper so you can just get another sheet to continue to practice if you need to. Also marker paper is smoother and is very kind on your precious nibs.

Only for tracing - no full page of letters for reference
There is not a sheet with the full alphabet so in order to check each letter you have to flick through tje the book letter by letter and the ink bleeds on it but to be fare you need the right ink for the right paper. Once you fill a book its no good so would not buy it agsin but the lettering is stunning in the book. Trying to photocopy is hard because you cannot copy the part of the book toward the spine easily in books normally and that's where the letter is
