Honest Review
I think this is the first review I have ever done lol So I bought this laptop after my Levono Yoga C90 finally went out. Going from a state of the art Laptop at the time (2018) and with an overall price tag of $1400.00, I could not see myself going back to anything else. (It had a dolby atmos soundbar built in lol) It had everything and more than I needed. And when I decided to buy something I could take on the go and do my day to day. I came about this laptop on Amazon. I needed something that would able to do what I mostly do on my laptop. Word processing and watching YouTube and the other streaming services I cant live without lol and check into other social media if I felt like it. I spent two days doing research, and looking at YouTube videos and reviews of this laptop. When I finally got it home, I was surprised how thin and light it was. I am a musician and I was surprised how clear and how loud the sound would get. Screen was very clear and bright. The one thing I had to get used to, is the operating system. I have used Windows for 30 plus years. I was surprised how easy it was to learn Chrome OS. There are MANY features I miss from Windows. But for what I need it to do its holding up . Overall for this price I am happy. NOTE: I have seen some reviewers say there is not a back lit keyboard. THERE IS ONE. I would NOT of bought this laptop if there was not one. Thats the first thing I look for. This laptop is like an electric hybrid, light simple to use and will get the job done. IF you are looking for a juiced up race car with all the bells and whistles, then this is not the right laptop for you. But if you wannt something affordable and does all the above, then this might be for you

Go on, disrupt the status quo.
I cherish the look and feel, of high end electronices... and also this. The minimal tolerances of its crafted stainless steel shell departs a feel of quality and substance The smoothness in articulating the HD display from screen,180°, to tablet mode is smooth like butter. Even down to the backlit keyboard, the pressure and depth needed until activation is rewarding. Overall the outward appearance, keyboard, and satisfaction Ive found via user interface, makes this the best feeling and looking sub $1000 laptop I've worked with! Sorry to say, the power button brings the cops to the kegger. Having finite resources, it's evident where the money went, thus leaving it's performance swimming mid pack in a pool of 3,296 laptops, vying for shares of the sub $500 market. Nothing too exciting, you can see the numbers. Competent enough to tackle most computing tasks, having no problem running multiple windows, sliding back and forth with ease, etc. However, with google's recent announcement of extending critical updates, this laptop will be performaning years after planned obsolescence leaves Macbook or Window laptops, of any price,.in oveburdoned landfills. With so many positives right of the bell curve, I am left with the understanding, this is far and away the best buy in this segment.

There are 3 models of this Chromebook
There are 3 models of this Chromebook the 1h, 2h, and one that could be used with a sim card. The 1h the first model the one I bought has a 1080 screen with gorilla glass which is awesome It comes with a free bag The build of the Chromebook is awesome Plenty fast, the fact that you can use this in different positions for viewing is awesome. The speakers are good for this Chromebook, but could be better. I've read that the brightness is 300 nits, I have compared this screen to other 250nits or 300nits displays if this really is a 300nit display? and I have to say that the colors and brightness of this screen is better thanks to the ips gorilla glass. But in the sun there is a glare, use this in the shade. The 2h model from what I have read has a 2k screen resolution , which is the one I really wanted, but also keep in mind that the 2h model is $300 more dollars then the 1h. I really recommend this 1h version, the battery charges very fast, I did a battery test for watching movies and tv on this and it lasted 6 hours and 30 minutes for video non stop, after 20 more minutes I had to charge it. So in closing, fast charging, gorilla glass ips screen 1080p, long lasting battery, good enough speakers, awesome design, it flips to use in many positions, and it's fast when browsing the web, I really like this Chromebook, and the price is good for all that your getting.

Good Product
I like this versatile Chromebook (even though I'm an Apple gal). I can tent it to sit on the counter while I follow a recipe, or back to a traditional position to surf while I'm watching TV. The backlit keyboard was a must for me. This is strictly a play toy, not my work laptop, so I don't need it to do much more. I like that it runs on Chrome, the feel of the keypad, the clarity of the screen, the overall size and weight, and the ability to bend it into different positions. I think the price was reasonable. My only issue might be the scrolling isn't fantastically smooth when using the touchscreen or touchpad. Happy with my purchase. (No opinion on battery life yet.)

Buyer beware
This item is falsely advertised. The description is for the 2nd model, 2H. However, twice I was sent the original model, 1H. This DOES NOT have a backlit keyboard. I wasted time troubleshooting and was argued with stating that the item I got was correct and just not working properly. That is entirely untrue and Acer can verify it. The laptop itself is lightweight which is great, but its a bit laggy. Between the keyboard missing lights and the so-so performance, I can't recommend this item at all.

OK Chromebook with Some Limitations
I recently purchased the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 Convertible Laptop, and my experience has been mixed. Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons I’ve encountered so far: Pros: 1. Portability: This Chromebook is lightweight and easy to carry around, making it great for on-the-go use. 2. Battery Life: The battery life is impressive, lasting a full day of light to moderate use without needing a recharge. 3. Versatility: The 2-in-1 convertible design allows for easy switching between laptop and tablet modes, which is convenient for different tasks. 4. Build Quality: The build quality is solid for its price range, with a sleek and modern design. Cons: 1. Performance: The performance can be sluggish at times, especially with multiple tabs open or when running more demanding applications. It handles basic tasks well, but struggles with more intensive workloads. 2. Display: The display quality is average. While it’s sufficient for everyday tasks, the brightness and color accuracy could be better for media consumption. 3. Storage: The limited storage can be an issue if you need to store a lot of files locally. An external drive or cloud storage is almost a necessity. 4. Keyboard and Trackpad: The keyboard and trackpad are functional but not the most comfortable. Typing for extended periods can become uncomfortable. Overall, the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is a decent choice for those looking for a portable and versatile Chromebook for basic tasks. However, its performance limitations and average display quality keep it from being a standout option. If you need a device for light use and value portability, it could be a good fit. If you require more robust performance and better display quality, you might want to explore other options.

Should have bought this years ago!
This Chromebook is fabulous! It is lightweight, no boot up time ( just lift the top up), lit keyboard and super fast. I have been a Dell guy for over 15 years. Microsoft keep pushing updates to you and just takes all of your hard drive space. I have been a long time Chrome user. Now I use Google Chrome, Google Drive, Google Photos and it is all secured and encrypted in their cloud. Just bought a new Dell for my wife at Best Buy last week. $1100.00 dollars. You have to subscribe to Office 365 and has a monthly charge after the first year. Every application defaults to saving your info in Office 1 cloud at Microsoft. You can't change the default to your desktop. After using Best Buy Geek squad on 3 different days, I gave up and returned it today. In my opinion, Microsoft is taking advantage of their customers and trying to lock you in. Buy a Chomebook, use Google and you will be happy!

"This Chromebook is The BEST!!!"
I Absolutely LOVE this Chromebook!!! It completely met all of my expectations on a Chromebook....I had a very old 11 year old Acer Chromebook C720 which I bought in Bestbuy in 2013 and it already reached it's End of Life date (Why Google is doing this!?....I just don't know!) So I was on the lookout for another proper Chromebook replacement then I went to a lot of online reviews and youtube videos and I finally found this. I had a great experience using Chromebooks because the Operating System of this laptop is Linux based hence why is very easy to use but I do admit it's limited but it fits my personal needs which are online bill paying internet browsing and watching videos and let's face it that not everyone is designing stuff online nor coding top secret /Classified codes so Chromebooks are perfect for basic stuff. I haven't tried the hinges on this thing or flipping it to tablet mode but I'll soon be and I'll get back at you for this. I Highly recommend this Chromebook if you wanted it for basic stuff like the things I've mentioned awhile ago and just have fun and for entertainment purposes!
