Chances are, if you're looking at this, you too were experiencing the dreaded death tornado of wet twisted clothes. I put up with a broken filter for years, duct tape would help for a bit but would randomly become sucked into the horrid mess and only make things worse. This replacement filter has made doing laundry significantly more pleasant. I don't have to worry about ruining any more clothes by playing roulette with the dryer! **Something to note, it did not fit all the way down at first. I almost returned it. The included brush is very handy at cleaning out the inside of the dryer vent and I was shocked at how much was compacted down there. It filled my vacuum twice. Try that before returning it. I have a Kenmore and included the model information in the photo.

Fits perfect on my drier . Works 100%

Would be perfect if it sat flush on top. Quality product, just didn’t sit flush. Nothing is obstructing this from being inserted all the way.

(Almost) Perfect fit for my Kenmore connect, I looked at Sears replacement parts and it was on back order so after carefully looking for the model number I took a chance, I was worried as most people return this one but it worked for me. I did have to really clean my lint trap with the handy included brush, as two people in my household never clean it 😑 yay to not destroying anymore clothing to rips and tears from catching on the trap!

Didn’t fit right.

I bought this after following our dryers model and serial number around online and on Amazon. I came upon this one and another very similar. They all show pictures of two filters side by side to make sure you get the correct one. They point out that one type has “felt” and the other has “no felt”. Our original filter did NOT have felt around the edge so I bought this one. This one was not right. It did not fit in quite right; the top corners stuck out but I still used it because I researched it again and kept coming up with this particular filter. The first load of laundry I dried ripped a sports bra, but I did not realize at the time that the filter had caused it. Then the second load I dried, two items were completely shredded and one of them was stuck on the edge of the filter. It was a mess getting it out and cleaning the mess up. So we went a week without a dryer, mind you, we do a load of laundry per day MINIMUM so you can imagine how much laundry I had to do to catch up. I was not happy at all. I finally figured out which one I needed by taking full measurements and then just praying it was right. The new one slid in perfectly. I’ve learned a valuable lesson now. If it doesn’t look like it fits, then it’s not the correct one! Don’t even try to use it.

Fit is off a little

Item came quickly, is a perfect fit and works well. My model number is 796.81022900. The stainless screen material makes this filter much more durable than the factory filter. The Item is well constructed and looks nearly identical to the original filter. The cleaning brush that comes with this item is much larger than shown in the picture, it is near 2 ft in length, well constructed and has a wooden handle. All in all, the filter is simple to replace and as far as functionality, I couldn't ask for a better value for the money.
