Getting through the past
Wasn't site what to expect, but it definitely wasn't all the twists and turns this book had. But I enjoyed reading every word. Plus getting the added bonus of reading Doctor O too!! Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 18 and older!

DR. D!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
Emma works as the receptionist for a plastic surgeon. When she meets Dr. Davis, she is immediately smitten. But Dr. Davis isn't friendly or even nice. He is just plain rude. He is actually known as the grouchy doctor, he isn't much of a people person. Turns out, he is attracted to Emma. But he isn't going to go there because of his ten-year-old daughter, Gracie. He hasn't been with anyone for a long time because he wants to put his sole attention to Gracie. With Emma around, he is imagining a possibility of being with someone else. But could he do that? Would he let her in? Would it get serious enough that he'll introduce her to Gracie? Would Emma be okay with Gracie? Y'all should read this to find out!!!I've read Lillian Monroe's other book, so I wanted to see how this book will be like. We've met Emma in that book, I have to admit I wasn't too crazy about her. I kind of forgot who she was in that book. But reading this book, I liked her. I liked Dr. D too. There was a lot of drama in this book and lots of obstacles that got in their way. It was so fun seeing how it'll turn out.I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.

Doctor D
I really enjoyed reading this book. Emma works as a receptionist/accountant for a swanky plastic surgeon because when her dad died he left her with crippling debts. When she meets Dr Davis ( Elliot ) she is immediately smitten. He's unfortunately not quite so nice to her. In fact he's rude and very cold towards her but that's because he's already attracted to her. What he won't do is go after her because of his 10 yo daughter Gracie. Since his wife died from cancer his whole world revolves around his little girl. She is a firecracker of a kid and far too wise and smart for her own good.Emma's got secrets of her own .... she owes money (her dads debts) to the wrong people and Victor lets her know he's coming for it. She's given three months to come up with the amount and if not he'll hurt her and her friends. That's why she's working there. Elliot is a man also with secrets and when Emma finds money billed to only certain clients, she knows something's amiss at her new job. This story is full of intrigue and suspense with lots of obstacles and it all comes to a head and they both soon learn that they have to trust each other or things will go very badly for both of them. Emma's trying to do the right thing by Elliot and Gracie and protect them meanwhile Elliot's also trying to do the same for Emma. This story is really well written with characters that are well rounded. You have empathy for Emma and Elliot but definitely not for their boss Stuart Yates. He's a snake and a nasty piece of work as is Melodie.I really did like the side characters of Emma's friends - Valerie and Dave. They provide the much needed laughs and funny banter that was needed.* I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for an honest review *
