There is 8mg of Zinc and 29.5 mg of L-carnosine.

Would it be safe to have the zinc carnosine if you received a batch with a strange chemical odor?

No, absolutely not. Chemical solvents can flare up acid reflux, and also are carcinogenic with long term use. If the odor persists, consider an alternative brand of zinc carnosine which will not have the issue.

Is this also the same as taking zinc? i am low in zinc but also want to try this for h.pylori but not sure its the same?

Studies suggest that Zinc/L-carnosine may have effects on harmful bacteria such as h.pylori.I started taking it on advice from a coworker, as I was having stomach pain, very similar to gastric ulcers. After about 10 to 14 days of taking it twice a day, the pain was gone.Additionally, I have had severe nausea taking Zinc by itself for common cold prevention. I had no problems with this compound at all.

is this soy and dairy free

On the label of the Zinc Carnosine is: Zinc 8 mg, L-Carnosine 29.5 mg, other ingredients are Microcrystaline cellulose (plant fiber), gelatin, magnesium stearate. It does not say anything about soy or dairy. Hope this helps.
