From day one he was a stinky itchy dog.... eventually we tracked his problems to hypothroid, yeast, and occasional outbreaks and demodex (the yeast and the demodex because his immune system is compromised from the hypothroid). We only use dermic products in him now. With his first outbreak of demodex we shaped him with another recommended "all natural" anti-demodex shampoo and he broke out in tiny bumps and was going even more insane with itching... within a half hour I shampooed him with Dermagic products and the difference was AMAZING! The soap bar itself smells good but when I used it on my hound dog mix, it made her smell worse, after she dried she smelt much better and she wasnt itching as much. It was also a little difficult to get a lather. If this were just a normal soap I wouldn't reccomend it but it benefited her skin condition. If your dog suffers from hotspots I would give it a try! The initial smell of wet dog outweighs the benefits it had! Teddy has had hot spots for about 8 years now and I've tried soap after soap and this one finally did the job. No hotspots that take the fur away this year and no come of shame!
