Coloring Book of Shadows

A lovely, packed-with-fun source!
This drawing/coloring/centering book is a part of a two-volume set (so far) by Amy Cesari, and it is delightful! It is absolutely packed with great illustrated witchy pages to use in my own Grimoire volumes, or in Cesari's Volume II, or even as invitations/notecards*, etc. I plan to copy the pages of this book for my own use (the author explicitly gives her written approval for this in the book itself) and then to insert them into my other journals as I wish. Her drawings can be simply colored in, or used as a base pattern to fashion a more detailed illustration from, which is exceptionally nice for someone like me who needs some guidance in my drawing efforts.I really like the idea of keeping this as a sourcebook and not coloring directly in it (for now). The companion Volume II is spaced much differently and will work as a wonderful consumable journal with additions taken from Volume I and other sources. Wonderful to have two such interwoven workbooks!Another hit from Ms. Cesari!*When using this material as a note of greeting to a friend, I tag Ms. Cesari as the creator in case chums might want to look her work up. Gotta give credit where credit is due!

Neat coloring book or BoS, great illustrations & interesting, basic witchy content.
Neat book, for just coloring, or for a basic & beautiful Book of Shadows! I really like Amy Cesari's illustration style & got hooked once I bought her Yule Papercraft for a Magical Solstice book. I ended up getting her 2019 planner & then bought this book & her Spells book too.Her witchy info is nice & basic. It's interesting & easy to understand for the merely curious or beginning level practitioners & a nice refresher for those more advanced. The illustrations are lovely & can be colored in a simple manner or with added detail. The book itself is standard size. It's nice & thick too, with around 64 pages, covering various subjects, plus many illustrated note pages (look for flip-throughs on youtube)! It's soft bound & feels like Createspace quality. The only issue I really have is the somewhat thin page paper (but they can be scanned & printed on thicker paper). For the price, it's definitely worth it, quite a bang for your buck!I'm happy I bought it & would gladly give it, or any of her books, as a gift too : )

A fun option to creating your own Book of Shadows.
Upon first look through this book I was undecided about keeping it or giving it to a friend. I love the whole idea of coloring your own BOS and that is what initially grabbed my interest. When I was going through the pages I saw lots of wonderful illustrations and idea and was very enthused. I kept this for a year before I decided to keep it and color in it. My only concern is the finer details in some of the pictures. For a person of normal vision it is fine but for one with limited vision it tends to get a little difficult to color. It is a great book and I would recommend it for those new to the Craft or as a gift idea for your Pagan/Wiccan/Witch friends. Lots of examples of crystals, herbs, etc., and blank space for your own notes. Great job. I've been using colored pencils only and I'm not sure how markers would work on the pages. The pages are printed on one side which is a big plus!

Great Coloring book
I've tried other adult coloring books and they had so much detail there was nothing left to actually color. This has the perfect amount of line drawings. Enough so there is detail and it doesn't get boring but not so much that it's nothing but lines. The paper works well with crayons, colored pencils and very well with gel pens. Water color will bleed through so put something behind your page.My only complaint is that the pages are not perforated. I would like to be able to remove them and place them in my BOS. I have been using a small xacto knife to carefully cut down the spine it would just be nice if they were already made for removal.

Beautiful, unique art -- but on poor quality paper
This is a lovely, unique, magical, and useful adult coloring book. The artwork is charming and the organization of the book is well-planned. My reason for giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is the quality of the paper. Though I appreciate that the pages are only printed on one side, the paper quality is just so poor and thin. I would enjoy coloring in the book much more if the paper was better. (And I would have been willing to pay more for the book, too, if the paper had been better.)

Worth it!
This is much better than I expected, and my standards are pretty high. I will be using it as dividers/headers in my own personal grimore, but I suppose you could use this as a little grimoire of it's own because it leaves lots of areas to write, including many pages in the back simply for writing. The art is lovely, simple enough to be colored easily/ quickly but detailed enough to be striking & recognizable as what they are; the crystal & magical herb/plants index was the best example of this.I can see how this would be a good meditation aid as well. Say you're coloring an crystal page, you couldn't help but think of the associations with the certain crystal and feel relaxed & in touch with yourself afterwards and during. Stress reliefffff !It was an impulse buy but, this time, one thats well worth the money =] hehe.Love it! Cant wait to start coloring

Love this book!
What a wonderful book this is! So many interesting things to color, plants, animals, gems, crystals, and so much more. It's wonderful just to begin with browsing. Just when you think you've seen it all there are more treats, like seasons, magical holidays, astrological signs, herbs and more are covered. Great drawings to color fill the pages. There are a few sections with areas to write down spells, potions and the like, and a few spots to doodle yourself. And it all starts with a fun and informative introduction that provides a jumping off point for magic research or just fun coloring!-Doug and Lisa (the whole family loves it)

Not what I was expecting
Poor information on this one. I wasted my money. Don’t buy unless your into magic and spells. It’s not really much of a colouring book more like a notebook
